Hello!
Once you connected the printer to your laptop see if it was able to detect the printer,
- go to Control Panel
- look for Printers and Faxes and open it
- And if you are able to find an icon with the brand of your printer, so it was able to detect your printer and you don't need any cd or drivers for it.
to be be able to print on your printer, right click (still on Printer and Faxes) then select Properties. On the printers menu click PORTS tab then at the bottom find or select USB port, then click OK, after the configuration you can now print.
- And if you do not find any printers on Printers and Faxes folder, meaning you need the installation cd or software driver for your printer.
to install the driver,
- connect printer to your laptop, then insert cd and follow the instructions---its just a simple and easy for you to follow.
