Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer
F1 is an electrical error. Try simply unplugging the machine for 10 minutes or so. If the code comes back, you should have a service person check it.

There was an issue with certain Whirlpool models involving this error code at one time and Whirlpool may have issued a recall so I would call Whirlpool to check if your unit was included in a recall and if its still covered. (866) 251-1607 is the number you should call and hopefully they can help you out with this.

SOURCE: Code F1
Hi. this is a serious control fault that incorporates many situations. This (F) code calls for a service call. there may be a combination of control and motor faults here. if you own a multimeter(ohm), i would start by testing the control panel connections. if you are uncomfortable with disassembling this machine, i suggest making a quick service call. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Please rate and god bless.

SOURCE: f1 error
The "F1" error code on the Whirlpool cabrio is quite common, and generally has to do with the control board. Replacing the control panel may resolve this issue. However, I believe Whirlpool is aware of the F1 issue with the Cabrio, and is fixing some machines for free. Please call 1-800-253-1301 for more details and see if you are eligible for a free repair.
Thank you !!
