Check the message center no might be its wrong ... u can change it in the message settings .. call ur customer care and aske them the message center no they'l proviide you!!
Ok just confirm putting your sim card to other cell phone and try messaging!!! reply back after trying!!
Sorry it might be annoying but give a try putting another sim card to ur n73 and try messaging!!
Ok!! Hmm now try formatting it buddy!! Those tries were just to confirm where the problem lies!! Just type *#7370# for reset!! Backup ur contacts before resetting it!!

Then ask ur mate for the code !! then try resetting and check it whether messaging working fine!!
