I 'installed' my ipod to itunes because i couldn't sync my ipod on it and i stopped the installation but it was too late and now whenever i turn on my ipod it shows the end where you plug it into the ipod and an arrow pointing to itunes. How do i restore it without losing everything on my ipod touch? Thanks!

Ipod touch doesn't get sync....

1. Do a reset. Hold down the button on the tip of the iPod touch AND the one button at the bottom of the screen together for at least 10 seconds. The "Slide to unlock" slider will mementarily appear, keep pressing then the Apple logo will appear. Let the iPod re-start. It has now been re-set. 2. Do a 'Restore'. Connect your iPod with the cable that came with it to the USB port on your computer. In iTunes, click and (Restore). 3. Try re-installing iTunes on your computer then do a 'Restore'.

Cannot get into itunes via ipod touch just says invalid argument

What I would do is try downloading the latest version of iTunes and see if that works. If that does not try the following: 1. Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore." Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings. After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead. 2. The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like this. Follow the onscreen instructions. **On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer?s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed. 3. As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar. 4. After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it?s done. 5. Now you?ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod. Now you can sync the iPod with your computer and download your iTunes library again.

Ipod touch turns on but tells me to connecct to itunes

You'll need to find a friend or family member that has a computer to resolve this issue. The iPod touch needs to be restored.
Using the Restore function for your iPod touch is part of standard troubleshooting procedure. Restoring your device will erase all data from your iPod touch, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All iPod touch settings are restored to their factory condition.
Whenever you restore your iPod touch, Apple highly recommends that you perform a sync prior to restoring in order to back up any changes since your last sync. If you have movie rentals on the device, see this document before restoring.
Use the following steps to restore your iPod touch:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and running before attempting to update. Connect your iPod touch to your computer. Select your iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices. Select the Summary tab. Select the Restore option. When prompted to back up your iPod touch's settings before restoring, select the Back Up option. If have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (As long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your iPod touch).
Once the restore process has completed the iPod touch restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up
