Question about Compaq Evo N600c Notebook
You may have to contact Verizon for this so they can connect you. They will ask for such things as your computers' MAC address which can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the computer chassis. The MAC address is a unique identifier for your computer. Much like a fingerprint no two are the same. The signal strength that your computer is showing you is rather misleading; it is meant for notifying you of the connection between it and the wireless signal being sent from another device such as a satellite or wireless router, NOT that you are actually receiving data from the internet. There are some other parameters and internet protocols that your computer will need to be set up for, all of which your internet service provider (Verizon) will get established for you over the phone. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
