Where can I find a wiring diagram and a repair manual for a Dewalt air compressor D55141 2 gal ?

Go to "" for exploded parts and pics. You will probably have to go to DeWalt for a wiring diagram but seeing the simple nature of this compressor any good electrician should be able to work it out.

Compressor relief valve opens 150lbs on my d55141

That is the compressor's holding capacity 150psi. Therefore, the cut-out pressure has been reached. The safety valve opens to relieve the excessive psi. Compressor should come on at 120 psi.

Why does my compressor just buzz when I turn it on?

that (more than likely) is the starter, but it also may have hit a bad commutator bar... turn off power, turn flywheel 1/8 (or so) of a turn, turn on power.

if it starts, purchase new motor because the commutator/brushes are dirty or shorted.

if it doesn't, replace the starter relay.

D55141 Electric 2 gallon Dewalt Emglo compressor won't shut off. It builds pressure past the max rating 150 psi and blows the intended safety feature, pressure relief valve as it should, but then...

your pressure switch is bad. so it isnt cutting off the compressor. the part number is N003306SV and can be obtained from Dewalt on Servicenet.

Good luck and hope this helps

Dewalt D55141 air compressor air leak

hi mate this problem may be more than 1 1st it could be the piston rings gone and the air is leaking into the crank and has blown the crank seal but you can tell that if oil is coming out the rear off the pump unit also it could be the breather blocked which allows air in and out the breather is the oil filler cap. good luck
