Question about Samsung Color Fixed Security Camera Sod-14c

Open Question

The connector on the Samsung CCTV equipment is standardized for Samsung but there is no industry standard and each manufacturer appears to use their own proprietary wiring pinout. Samsung uses an RJ12 connector with 6 conductors(an RJ12 is physically identical to an RJ11 except RJ11 only has 4 conductors with the outside 2 not used). The pinout looking at the camera socket with the clip up and the contacts down has the following wire numbers 123456 (if you are looking at the cable remember the order will be reversed) 1 Speaker + 2 Video + 3 GND 4 Speaker - 5 Audio Out/Alarm Out 6 +12VDC

SOURCE: I have two samsung ssc-12c cameras.

The attached pic should be from page 14 of the SSC17 pdf format owner's manual.

If it doesn't show try this link and look at page 14:

http://www.deals2all.com/product_manuals/Samsung-GVI/SSC17WEB.pdf

Anybody have any clue as to why these companies try to keep all of this so secret ? Forcing me to buy their cables, monitors, etc instead of being able to incorporate what I have is more likely to turn me away from their products altogether.

SOURCE: I GOT A SAMSUNG SOD14C , OKAY I WANT IT TO CONNECT

Well, your going to need RJ45.
RJ11 is telephony and has 2 pairs of wires. With that, you could use the Blue/Blue-White for power and the Orange/Orange-White for video. Then your stuck.
RJ45 has 4 twisted pairs.
To find out which has power, use a meter to measure your 24 volts.

I want to know what color wires serve what Purpose in my 1993 kia spectra

they dont necessarily serve any singular purpose each manufacturer will have its own color codes that can even vary by the subcontractor they hired to make the part, usually all the connectors are the same though, if you want to know about the stereo wiring, Crutchfield has excellent bluprints of the wires going to the stereo, navigation, and antitheft wiring and how to bluprints of how to remove door panels and dashboard assemblies, the other wires to engine controls and other equipment will be available at your dealership, but there definatly is no longer any color code standardized in the industry, a green wire could be hot but a red wire is seldom neutral

Samsung gets their batteries from a supplier, just as newbattery gets them from their source. The OEM or original equipment manufacturer set the specifications and thus the battery was made accordingly. 30 day warranty is standard and after that, your on your own.

I do not know what type of cable and hoe to hook to pc

Most modern computers have a Network Interface Card (NIC) that used an industry standard RJ45 network jack (8 wire connection similar to a telephone RJ11 connector)
Most people now have broadband service (Cable Modem or DSL Modem) that has RJ45 connections. you also may have a Router between the computer and the Modem to share that internet connection with other computers. The router will also have RJ45 connections. Routers can also be wireless, and you can connect via 802.11 A/B/G/N wireless connection if your computer has an 802.11 standard wireless card.
So, once you detail the brand and model computer and the type fo network conenction/equipment you have, I can give more detailed answers.

What is hvac

Hi, Hvac that i know is (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) refers to technology of indoor or automotive environmental comfort. HVAC system design is a major subdiscipline of mechanical engineering, based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Refrigeration is sometimes added to the field's abbreviation as HVAC&R or HVACR, or ventilating is dropped as in HACR (such as the designation of HACR-rated circuit breakers).

HVAC is important in the design of medium to large industrial and office buildings such as skyscrapers and in marine environments such as aquariums, where safe and healthy building conditions are regulated with temperature and humidity, as well as "fresh air" from outdoors.

Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning is based on inventions and discoveries made by Nikolay Lvov, Michael Faraday, Willis Carrier, Reuben Trane, James Joule, William Rankine, Sadi Carnot, and many others.

The invention of the components of HVAC systems went hand-in-hand with the industrial revolution, and new methods of modernization, higher efficiency, and system control are constantly introduced by companies and inventors all over the world. The three central functions of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning are interrelated, providing thermal comfort, acceptable indoor air quality, within reasonable installation, operation, and maintenance costs. HVAC systems can provide ventilation, reduce air infiltration, and maintain pressure relationships between spaces. How air is delivered to, and removed from spaces is known as room air distribution.[1]

In modern buildings the design, installation, and control systems of these functions are integrated into one or more HVAC systems. For very small buildings, contractors normally "size" and select HVAC systems and equipment. For larger buildings, building services designers and engineers, such as mechanical, architectural, or building services engineers analyze, design, and specify the HVAC systems, and specialty mechanical contractors build and commission them. Building permits and code-compliance inspections of the installations are normally required for all sizes of buildings.[citation needed]

The HVAC industry is a worldwide enterprise, with career opportunities including operation and maintenance, system design and construction, equipment manufacturing and sales, and in education and research. The HVAC industry had been historically regulated by the manufacturers of HVAC equipment, but Regulating and Standards organizations such as HARDI, ASHRAE, SMACNA, ACCA, Uniform Mechanical Code, International Mechanical Code, and AMCA have been established to support the industry and encourage high standards and achievement.

Line in what is that for

In general:

Line In is the standard name for any generic audio input. Line Out would be for the corresponding output.

It allows a standard for audio equipment manufacturers to use when designing for interconnection.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_level

"Consumer electronic devices concerned with audio (for example Sound cards) often have a connector labeled "line in" and/or "line out". Line out provides an audio signal output and line in receives a signal input. The line in/out connections on a computer sound card are generally unbalanced, with a TRS connector of 6.35 mm (1/4"), 3.5 mm (1/8" miniature) or 2.5 mm (3/32" subminiature). The connections on most other consumer equipment use RCA jacks. In most cases changing the volume setting on the source equipment does not vary the strength of the line out signal."

How many instrument and power cables in one cctv

Hi a simple CCTV one camera system is 1 pair of power wires (1 positive 1 negative) and 1 piece of coax cable with BNC connectors at both ends. (usually rg59 but RG6 is better)

Things to be aware of:

Cameras come in both 12v DC OR 24Vac configurations some are capable of both but most models available to consumers run on 12v most professionals choose 24v models.

simple adapters used to convert from regular coax screw type connectors to either an RCA connector or BNC connector are available at Radio shack. If you need more than 1 or 2 its cheaper to get them on ebay.

You can connect a BNC equipped camera to an input on your TV by using one of these adapters. *put an RCA connector on the end and plug it into one of the yellow video inputs on the TV.

What is the difference between DVD+R and DVD-R thanks.

DVD-R and DVD+R are two competing technologies that use different formats. No single company owns either DVD format and both technologies have their advantages. DVD-R/RW was developed by Pioneer. Based on CD-RW technology, it uses a similar pitch of the helix, mark length of the 'burn' for data, and rotation control. DVD-R/RW is supported by the DVD Forum, an industry-wide group of hardware and software developers, and computer peripheral manufacturers. The DVD-R format has been standardized in ECMA-279 by the Forum, but this is a private standard, not an 'industry' ISO standard like the CD-R/RW Red Book or Orange Book standard. DVD+R/RW is also based on CD-RW technology. DVD+R/RW is supported by Sony, Philips, HP, Dell, Ricoh,Yamaha, and others, and has recently been endorsed by Microsoft. DVD+R/RW is not supported by the DVD Forum, but the Forum has no power to set industry standards, so it becomes a market-driven issue.

Dvd m/c tells me disk is not readable

There are different formats of DVD's. Not all will play on all DVD players2.gif. I am copying a part of an article that better explains it and will include the link to the whole article so you can read it. If this doesn't make any sense to you please let me know and I will try to explain it more fully for you. Now on to the explanation......

With so many different formats — DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM — how do users know which DVD format is compatible with their existing systems, and why are there so many different formats for DVDs? The following information sheds some light on DVD's different flavors, the differences between them and the incompatibility issues that the differing technologies have sprouted.
Why So Many DVD Formats?
The crucial difference among the standards is based on which standards each manufacturer adheres to. Similar to the old VHS/Beta tape wars when VCRs first hit the markets, different manufacturers support different standards. Often called a format war, both the industry and consumers are still waiting to see which format will emerge as the industry standard.
Plus or Minus - What's The Difference?
The different variations on the term DVD (e.g. +R, -R, -ROM, and so on) describe the way data is stored on or written to the disc itself. These are called physical formats.
