CHANGE LANGUAGE ON A GARMIN 1300 SAT NAV - Garmin nuvi 1300 Car GPS Receiver

You can download the manual, but anyway I see it's similar to my nuvi 200. Touch the spanner symbol on the opening screen, then touch 'Settings', then scroll to 'Language' and touch that. You can then change the language for Voice, Text, or Keyboard, or Restore the original settings.

Perhaps you can do a reset and restart the whole process..

If that is not an option, I am not sure right now, I'd have to look into it. Let me know please.

The satnav must already have been registered. If you have forgotten the username and password the only solution is to contact Garmin support. Their contact details are at http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/home/support/supportcontact

I have just bought a garmin nuvi 1300 and when turned it on the language is german or dutch. We need english but cannot figure out how to change to that seleciton. Help??

You have to go into the change preferences and change the speed manually, if you get stuck look in your user guide, or connect your sat-nav to your computer and open tomtom home click help click view manual

What have you tried to do to change it back? Have you tried changing the setting in the menu?
Press the wrench symbol and then the symbol with the lips.

There are 2 settings that need to be changed.
1. Text language (displays the text using characters of the chosen language)
2. TTS (text to speech - the actual speaking voices)
