Question about Creative Labs Zen Touch MP3 Player

1 Answer

Music only coming out one speaker

Originally I thought it was my headphones knackered again but I tried this on two sets of headphones and my speakers and each time the music is only coming out one of the speakers. I have had my creative zen for 3 years and this is the first problem I have had with it. Appreciate any help you can give me.

If you're running xp or vista, you should download this firmware http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Creative-Zen-Touch-Firmware-21101-Download-14028.html first and see if that fixes the problem. If that doesn't cut it. It's a hardware problem probably with the headphone jack. You could either send it in and it'd probably take a while to fix and alot of complications and money and bla bla bla. or you could just invest in a new music player such as the new 80gb zune which is very great. or an ipod classic, or even another zen product (not recomended)

I have a sony MP# player, same range as listed but the 8GB model. I can only turn volume up to 16 before it starts distorting and giving a really bad and weak signal though the headset, when the stereo...

Headphones are not designed to have the volume levels run at maximum. At this level the sounds from the headphones will distort.
Speakers have a much larger voice coil and therefore will not distort at higher volume levels.
Also when the speakers are connected to the MP3 player the sound level may appear lower because speakers require more energy to drive (produce sounds). In this case you need to connect powered (amplified) speakers to the MP3 player.

Four weeks ago I bought an iPod Touch 32GB. After listening to my iPod on an external speaker I tried using the headphone and the sound is just too low. I thought my headphone was damaged but I tried it on...

Sounds like plugging the external speakers in has damage the spot were the headphones go in. If this is under warranty that bring it to apple store.

Plug in connection problem for headphone or speakers

It can be because the connector on a mp3-player, or in this case the ipod touch, does not deliver enough power in Watt's to bring the music over to the larger headphones or speaker(s).

With kind regards,

Nano won't play music just through my headphones-

1 Please check the headphones on any other device to make sure that there is nothing wrong with them and they are functioning normally. 2 Switch on the Nano and press MENU 3 Go to settings and go to clicker. It will show 'speakers' 4 Press the center and it will change to headphones. 5 Set it there. 6 Similarly you can adjust the volume.

I have an ipod touch and the speakers are playing at the same time as the earphones

if your ipod is clicking when you go through stuff, there is a setting in General. Turn that setting to headphones only. If it is music, try putting your headphone jack in further. this happens even on laptops

The internal speakers on my ipod touch don't work

As far as I know, the sound quality coming out of the ipod is not so great to begin with. I have an iPod touch, and the speaker I have right now was only $12.59 and the sound quality is great. plus I have my headphones from UxSight. They are amazing. Here is the link: iPod speakers

Make sure the volume is turned up sufficiently. If it is, then get it exchanged if still in warranty.
