Might be true,might be not.These two websites have most of the tvs industries refurbishes electronic boards for the LCD and Plasma Tvs around.Tries websties Shopjimmmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Main logic Tuner signal board for the replacement.

I have a vizio vu37l tv..about 2 years old. Last night on its own it started switching to av1...comp...hdmi...all by itself..it even shut itself off. It also switched this morning....why is it doing this...

i joined up to answer this question took me awhile to find the post...main board. I had the same tv do the same thing swapped out the main board still works today repaired it year and half ago... is the screen lite up white'ish or blue'ish....

Remote stopped working Got new remote and it
It can be the IR remote receiver board inside the TV. Is the new remote setup for VIZIO TV?
Old VIZIO remote is bad for sure?
Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

Vizio 37 inch, was watching and all of a sudden their was a loud popping sound and the tv went out and will not come back on help this is only 2 1/2 years old.

My daughter just called and she thinks she has a 37 in. vizio. She said the screen is like a strobe. Can you tell me what the problem might be?
I am having the same problem and have been for a year. Our eyes are going bad watching it. It's not just TV, but DVD's also. It stopped for a while...but don't be fooled. It will start again. When I called them a year ago they told me to unplug all the cables and start over. This helped for about 3 hours. nNow my warranty is up...DON"T WAIT!! PLease let me knkow if you find a solution. Thanks! Rhonda

Vizio screen went off but power light is still on
may be a mainboard problem. If you can see the orange light it usualy means that there is power running through the TV... usually inverter boards are a problem when you do not see any backlight at all.

Philips 42PF7320A/37 won't power up Led blinks 7 times
This what to do measure from the logic board which is located under the small signal board and have the AV jacks connected to it. If the voltage is 3.1 or close the problem is with the power supply or a boar connected to the power supply. Unplug the set. Disconnect the Y main board first that will be on the left side of the set facing the back. Plug the set back in if the led is solid replace the Y main and the Y upper lower. If still blinking plug the Y main back in and unplug the X main which is on the right side facing the back. If the led is green replace the X main. If the led is still blinking replace the power supply.
But if the volts are 0 the problem is the SSB or the logic board. In that case take the (SSB) small signal board out the set and place 1 jumper on J8003 and another jumper J8004 of the left side of the power supply. Then place 1 jumper on CN2072 of the lower left part of the logic board. Plug the set back in if the set displays a white, blue ect screen replace the SSB. If not and on the logic board you don't have 1 solid blue led and 1 blinking led data is not flowing and change the logic board.

The fact that you're having trouble with the SMPS is probably something in the set loading it down. For this I'd take it to the shop where you had the SMPS replaced before and that would be the place to start with the complaints. They should be able to test the X,Y, logic and main board to find the source of the problem.
