Question about Computers & Internet
My Freecom datatank will not connect to my pc. I've tried IEEE and USB but the device starts to autoplay then hangs. I think its fan is not working and so the device may startup and then cut out. Do you knwo fo anyone who repairs Freecom datatank devices.
Please remember that the Freecom Datatank carries a two year warranty. If you contact support and give them the model and serial they may be able to help.

Tips for a great answer:

Dumb question, but have you tried the usual work around (he says, blithely assuming that you've got a Windows PC) of trying a different USB port? I've had problems with a scanner getting recognized that moving to a different port sorted out fine.
Oh, and I've also had some issues with 3rd party microUSB leads - they seem to only be usable for charging.
