Question about Husqvarna Partner Gas Powered Cut Off Saw K960 16"

2 Answers

My Husqvarna K750 will start up and idle fine, but will only run at full throttle for about 5 seconds before rpms drop and dies. If I let go of the trigger and feather it, it will run at low speed. turning the hi or low speed mixture screws does not fix problem. Air filters are clean. Any help greatly appreciated, I have two saws with this problem.

On some two stroke smaller motors the exhaust can become partially plugged. Allowing the symptoms that you are describing, in fact as the screen or outlet gets hotter it restricts even more. Your operating manual should have a recommended muffler screen cleaning procedure.

HUSQVARNA 128LD WILL START RUN FOR A FEW SECONDS AND DIE.

You need to adjust your idle screws. Start at 1 and a half turns out for High and Low then go from there.

Husqvarna k750 partner starts and runs fine up to limiter but will only idle for a few seconds then dies

I had a saw with a similar problem. I beleive you need a new carberator. I changed mine and my saw never ran so good. I think from all the vibration all the shafts/bushings have wore and now air is being sucked in from too many unwanted places keeping enough vacume to **** the gas out of the carb bowl.

03 t'blazer, starter replaced, car runs ine but

You need to clean the throttle body, and possibly replace the Idle Air Control (IAC) motor. Use a baby bottle brush with nylon bristles and some carbureator cleaner to clean the throttle body and the back of the throttle blade. Take intake hose loose from engine have someone in car hold gas pedal to floor( engine not running) spray carb cleaner into throttle body and brush with bottle brush. When clean re attach the hose (engine will not start with hose un hooked) and start the engine. The engine might be hard to start the first time because of the extra fuel in the intake, but it wil start. You will need to run it a few minutes to clear the extra fuel, then try the ac and see if the idle is better.

Carburetor may need adjusting or rebuilding. I would try mixing up some fresh fuel mixture and try that first. Use gas from the station not from the can sitting in the garage.
Good Day.

Can't set carb. on Husqvarna chainsaw.

Most chainsaws and small engines are 1.5 turns out.

You need to set the mixtures for the carburetor. You will find a Low and High adjustment screw. At idle turn the screw in or clockwise until the rps starts to decrease. Then start turning it out till you hit max idle rpms. Turn screw back in a quarter to half turn and it should be idling smoothly. Be careful here and get someone to hold saw if necessary but hold in throttle to full speed and do the same with high adjustment screw. turn it in till rpm starts to drop then back it out until you get to max rpm and it won't go any higher then turn it back in a half a turn.
