Drain the unit first off, then take out the button trap and inspect it. Get a flash light and inspect the housing to make sure it doesn't have a crack in it, check to insure the seal on the button trap, is good too. Reinstall and poor a bit of water back into the unit to see if it still leaks. If the actual housing has a crack you have to have it replaced. It is not hard to do, you would have to contact LG to get the part. Make sure you unplug the unit first.

Leaking from the bottom back

Hi, If not a hose leak, check for leakage around the water pump. On our top-load Kenmore, the leak showed up at the front right of the machine. Water was leaking where the pump slides onto the motor shaft. Replacement of pump consists of: (1) unplug power cord and then remove 2 screws at corners of the dial/control panel to tilt it back, (2) unplug wiring harness, (3) remove two spring clips holding white metal console to the frame then tilt console forward and remove, (4)pump was in front of machine with two black hoses attached via hose clamps - remove the spring clips at top & bottom of pump and remove the two hose clamps, (5) slide new pump onto shaft and reassemble in reverse order.

Take care

Kenmore top load washer leak out the bottom

In order to accurately determine where the source of the leak is coming from, you need to remove the exterior case on Kenmore top loaders. The following link explains how to access the washer interior components and how to inspect for leaks:

In the majority of the cases, the source of leaks on a top loader comes from the drain pump or drain hoses. There is a follow-on link inlcuded that explains how to replace the pump if it is damaged. These pumps are not servicebale and must be replaced if leaking.

Replacement parts (if required) can be ordered from any of the following websites:

All these sites are reputable and offer great service with competitive pricing. The first three sites I listed also inlcude helpful exploded view parts diagrams to assist you in locating and properly identifying the parts you need.

If you have any questions, please post back with your complete MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore 27841 Top Load Washer has developed a water leak

Hi, Check the pump. Tip the washer back after the load finishes and see if the pump is dripping. The pump is located on the front side of the motor. If the leek seem to be in the front center of the washer, it is probably the pump. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

On Whirlpool top load, found the leak from drain pump housing where hoses go in/out, how do I fix it? Removed the clips and hoses, but the plastic piece won't come off.

If the pump housing is damaged, you cannot fix it. you will need to replace the entire pump in this case. the pump is a fixed object.

Top load kenmore 110

This is commonly caused by a leaking water pump, or the hoses attached to the pump. The following link explains how to access the interior of the washer to inspect for leaks:

This link explains how to replace the water pump if that is the case. Keep in mind, these pumps are sealed units and are not serviceable. If the pump is leaking, or not functioning, it needs to be replaced. in addition, double check all hose connections to the pump (there usually two hoses) and make sure there are no cracks or holes. Make sure the hose clamps are secured properly. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you require additional assistance.

Leak top load kenmore

Excellent use of your deductive reasoning skills. You may be right on both assumptions. It is not uncommon for the pump or the drain hoses to develop leaks over a period of time. You will need to remove the outside casing of the washer, however to get a good look. This link explains how to replace the washer pump:

Even if it is not the pump, it gives you necessary steps on how to disassemble the washer. Step 7 of the write up tells you where the pump is located. Inspect the two hoses for cracks and leaks as well.

NOTE: You will need to by-pass the lid switch, however, with the case removed in order to fill the washer with water. can fill the wash tub partially, shut the unit off, unplug the washer and remove the case and look for the leak that way as well. Let me know if you wish to attempt to by-pass the lid switch - this does not involve cutting and splicing any wires.

If you require further assistance please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Washer dryer

Here is the link for a manual for your washer/dryer if you need it; sounds like the heating element has failed, or just possibly the thermostat for the hot air. follow this link for a list of spares if you want to try it yourself, or for bosch repair centre details if not. ask if you want to do it yourself for any guidance you need. Hope this helps :)
