I can't seem to get the manual but I will guess that your keyboard doesn't have the onboard facility to do that. You may need an external computer program to do it. Here is a link that explains:http://www.psrtutorial.com/util/index.html You may need to download some drivers as well so here is the link:http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/psr-3000/?mode=model Here is a link to some good freeware and shareware midi sequencing programs:http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/MIDI_SEQUENCERS/ There is a selection for all platforms not just Windows95.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How to program drum beats from one alesis sr16to another alesis sr16 drum machines

5.4J Copy a Song to Another SR-16 Via MIDI
The SR-16 can send Song system exclusive information to another SR-16 via MIDI. If you have only one SR-16, you can skip this section.
1. The source SR-16 should be in Song mode and stopped. Connect the source SR-16 MIDI out to the destination SR-16 MIDI in.
2. Select the Song to be copied.
3. Press and hold the COPY button, and keep holding it down until step (5). The display says COPY TO SONG.
4. Do not enter any destination Song number-just press PLAY to send the data out over MIDI. It will end up in whatever Song number had been selected at the receiver. If the Song was not empty, the new Song steps will be appended to the existing Song steps.
5. Release the COPY and PLAY buttons.
Caution: This does not transfer Pattern information, only the song steps. To transfer Patterns to another SR-16, see section 3.3D and 3.3E.

Hopefully this helps, it comes out of the SR16 Manual, page 40 I think
Cheers Pete

I have same problem. I have recorded my performance on keyboard (PSR I425) when i transfered it to PC it's in .bup format. and the file is not getting played on PC. how should i solve it?

Transfer the data in MIDI format. The BUP format is a proprietary format to the keyboard and can ONLY be played by the keyboard. Either dump the data as MIDI format or using a MIDI interface send it to the PC or lastly, capture the audio using an audio interface on the PC.

I want to use my sd card to put my own songs and when i change the song from an MP3 to MIDI file using the program WIDI 3.3 Pro. When i put the MIDI file which is the song, into the Sd card and then into...

You need to understand what the program is doing.
An MP3 file is a recorded music performance like a phonograph record. A MIDI file is a set of instructions for performing music, like sheet music. The converter program is an attempt to turn the record into sheet music. There is no perfect way to do that. You should have gotten something out of the program, though. It sounds more like a computer problem. Try a very simple sound file, convert it to MIDI, and see if you can get something out. If your keyboard can't read it, try putting any known good MIDI file on the card and read that. Possibly your keyboard will only read certain formats or sizes or speeds of cards. See if the manual tells you anything. It might read FAT16 regular speed cards under 1 GB, for instance, and balk at a SDHC 16 GB NTFS formatted card. So, do some detective work.

Loading sounds and keep getting unsupported file format

Try going to VSplanet.com if what you have is a music recorder. You did not give us a clue as to what devices you have or what format your songs are that you are trying to load.. Many of the devices either have their native format or use MP3 or MIDI type data. WAV files usually are NOT accepted.

I'm in the studio using LogicPro with my MO8 -

In General MIDI, the grand piano is defaulted to MIDI channel 1.

IF you have a device that responds to "General MIDI" format, just send the MIDI data to channel one and you should be fine. Remember that pianos are VELOCITY controlled and usually don't use after touch so you have to generate appropriate velocity for EACH note if you are using an editor.

Recording problem on pa800

It seems as though it may just be a sample issue.I have had this similar problem before, because each drum hit corresponds to a key on the piano. It could also be the program you are using to open it.

If you have the smart card slot you can save your songs to the memory card by using Anvil Studio which is a free program. Save your midi song in Format 0 and be sure to use channel 4 for right hand playing and channel 3 for left hand. Be sure to keep the file size under 80k if you have other channels active for other instruments!
