My logitech wireless mouse stopped working. I cannot figure out how to put new batteries in. Other than trying new batteries, I dont know what to do. I have no instructions for this mouse.

The screws are under the back 2 feet and under the label. The label you can just feel for the holes and press thru with a screw driver. For the 2 feet, you can either peel them off (and buy replacements or re-glue the old ones back on), or just press the screw driver thru the center of the feet

Poor battery life with Logitech V450 cordless mouse

The problem is likely in the software (drivers), assuming that you are using quality batteries (those manufacturer's specs are based on top-shelf, fresh-off-the-truck alkaline batteries).

When you replaced the first set of batteries, the absence of a mouse caused the receiver to search, and having found none, it's common for the driver to reset to default settings.

The Logitech driver is the first suspect; go to Control Panel, Logitech Mouse...Driver Properties... Look for the "Auto-off" setting, and change it to 10-30 mins (or the lowest setting you can live with)...What you're looking for is the driver that has reverted to "never" in the auto-off setting...and if that isn't changed here, then it was Windows.
You'll have to tunnel a bit to get to this one, but it's not as hard as it looks.

The second suspect is the Windows driver; For Win XP, from the Control Panel, go to "Mouse"...or for Win-7 go to Control Panel- Devices and Printers, Hardware- and choose "Mouse" from the text links.

From the new menu, choose the "hardware" tab, and the "Properties" button near the bottom.
The new menu page has a text area that states "This device is working properly", and under that is a button labeled "Change Settings"...Click it.
Click the radio button labeled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"...and you're done.

Click the "OK" buttons to close the menu sets.

Mouse dead and wont charge. is there a battery to change?

I have the same problem, called Logitech and they were no help at all. I tried to open the casing to see if there was a replaceable battery and the entire casing broke, now its useless.

Wireless Logitech mouse with NO connect button on it. Only buttons on it are Power and Reset (and one to open battery case). Cannot figure out how to connect to receiver. Was previously connected, but I...

Ok, try this in the steps ordered
1 remove the receiver from the USB port
2 remove the battery from the mouse
3 turn on the pc
4 after everything is loaded on the pc, plug the mouse receiver into the USB port
5 put the battery back in to the mouse and let it "find" the receiver.
If these steps don't work, try doing the steps and use a different USB port. If that doesn't work try a different battery in the mouse.
If none of this works and the receiver hasn't been bent (happens allot in laptops), then it sounds like your mouse took a dump.

How do you open it in order to change the batteries?

If there's no door on the bottom of the mouse for putting in standard AA or AAA batteries, then the battery is built in and would need to be replaced by the manufacturer or someone with technical savvy. There's probably a screw hidden under the label that would enable the shell to be popped open, but you would be voiding your warranty.

How do I change batteries on a cordless mouse MX5000. There is no door/cover to open.

Steps to change the mouse batteries:

1. With the small end of the mouse pointed towards you, just take your thumbs and slide the other end out.

Take note: The word logitech should be upside when you are doing this. It takes 2 AA batteries.

I hope that it is very helpful for you..Thanks..:-)

Replacement USB charging cradle for Logitech Mouse

It sounds like you are talking about a wireless unit, and I am going to assume that it has stopped charging.....Try this first before you purchase a new cradle for it....Take a pencil eraser and clean the terminal prongs on the cradle, just as if you were erasing on paper, then do the same to the terminal plates on the mouse....
