In order for the wireless computer to connect to the router wirelessly, the router and the computer's wireless settings should be the same. Before trying to connect your wireless adapter to a Linksys wireless router, please know the following: SSID or Network Name, Wireless Security and/or Network Key.

Cant connect to wireless away from home

You have to manually connect to your University's wireless connection. Double 9maybe single) click the wireless icon bottom right screen and then untick the box for connect automatically under your home connection. Then double click on the wireless connection that you would like to connect to from the list of available wireless networks.

WIFI not working with Linksys wireless-g broadband router/Comcast

Unplugging the wireless router and connecting it again should not have altered the wireless connection/configuration. You have connected the cables correctly because the Internet works when you connect a LAN cable to the router.
The Linksys wireless configuration or the wireless card configuration in the computer was changed it to lose the wireless connection. The wireless card configuration needs to be changed to match the wireless router's settings or change the Linksys with new configuration settings and configure the wireless card accordingly.
To secure your router with a login password and wireless security, please follow my instructions - click on this link :-

How do i use my built in wireless connection to connect to the internet, please.

make sure that your wireless or wifi light is on,you may try to press Fn and F2 at the same time to enable or swith on wireless..if wifi is already on,try going to start >> control panel >> network connections,go to wireless network connection and double click it, it will give you a list of wireless network,or right click and then "view available wireless network", if you get an error that windows cannot configure wireless connection,go to start >> all programs >> loo for either dell wlan utility or intel pro wireless, by opening that app,it will also search for wireless network in range, just double click on the network name where you want to connect and you sould be connected provided that "wireless network" doesnt have encryption like wpa or wep key..if your connecting to your home network, you should have wireless router at home and wireless is enabled on the router.
