My i pod nano 8 gig has frozen!! I switched it on and it has done nothing since, it won't switch off, play or change tracks!! My i tunes page is the same. It won't work, Last time this happened I let the power run out completley and when I plugged it in again it was fine. The trouble is this time it could take 2 days to die as the battery is full!! How annoying. Any ideas?

I plugged in my i pod and came back a hour later and the screen was black and was frozen and none of the buttons would work

you will need to reset your ipod this will not delete songs. 1 Toggle the Hold switch on and off (slide it to HOLD and then back again).
2 Press and hold Menu and the Center button for at least 6 seconds, until the
Apple logo appears.
If iPod nano won’t turn on or respond
â Make sure the Hold switch isn’t set to HOLD.
â The iPod nano battery might need to be recharged. Connect iPod nano to your
computer or to an Apple USB Power Adapter and let the battery recharge. Look for
the lightning bolt icon on the iPod nano screen to verify that iPod nano is receiving
a charge.
To charge the battery, connect iPod nano to a USB 2.0 port on your computer.

Will not charge, Ipod nano says that this accessory is not supported and shows that it wont charge the battery. also the Teac will not turn off the Ipod or turn it on or it just keeps running . Use to work...

Apple does this so that only Certified accessories have to software to make the hardware circuits charge an i pod, thats especially a problem with some sound docks, my i pod 2 gen works with only 1 of the 3 sound docks that i have tried, but i have a bluetooth i home so i play my music wirelessly

I pod wont turn on

It's not a bad battery. There's a loose connection or disconnected wire inside that needs to be re-soldered.

I think my iPod nano battery is at the end of its life. It will not power up on any of 4 sources, namely - 2 Mac computers, 1 Logitech docking station and 1 Apple power plug for iPod. I have re-booted it...

If it wont charge on any of multiple sources then you have a dead battery. Just to make sure, if you are comfortable with opening up your Ipod, check to make sure that the ribbon cable going from the chipset to the battery is securely plugged in on both sides.

Left I pod pluged to computer for a week and now the I-pod is dead .

you might assume that when the I pod was plugged in the computer that it would keep charging it, but not all players have that capabilty. my mp3 was made for my computer so it would always charge when i had it plugged in,however i had a different player and it when dead because i thought it would do the same. chnaces are you will have to recharge the player via the the cord that plugs in the wall....please rate this.....thanks

I Pod 4 Gb

Just charge the battery until the indicator says the battery is full.
well since its been connected for more than enought, disconnect it, you can also try reseting the ipod incase it has frozen

To reset your iPod:
  • 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  • 2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Tip:
  • If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
  • If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

Hi cholo, -Turn the hold switch on and then off. -Hold down the menu and middle button until the Apple logo appears, usually about 6 to 10 seconds. -If that doesn?t work repeat the process and you should be good to go. -If that didn?t work try plugging you Nano into your computer using the USB cable Let us know if you have any more questions and please don?t forget to rate the posting.
