Yes , but you have to register the new modem's product address to your ISP so that they will give internet connection to that new modem.

What is the default Password for Hughes Net Router? Can't find the papers on it..Hughes H1100 is on the front of it..

Did you mean HT1100? If so, here's the manual:
http://customer.kb.hughesnet.com/Documents/1039650-0001_a.pdf
But that's a satellite modem, not a router.

Here's some evidence that HughesNet routers have:
Username: admin
Password: password (or 1234 on older routers)
http://customer.kb.hughesnet.com/pages/4933.aspx

Maybe what you have there is an Allwin H1100 VoIP gateway/router.

Why not ask HughesNet for the default password?

My connection to hughesnet is interrupted and jumps back a forth from on to off

First

Make sure there is no interruption in the line of sight.

If you are using any kind of a router then bypass it and try and go online.

Make sure all the cables are snugged in properly at the back of the modem as well as at the back of the Computer.

The weather could be another reason for the interrupted connection.

Make sure you are not using any VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection,i.e.,if you access any computer from your computer.

Secondly

Lastly do this open up a browser page (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox atc.) and type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar on top and hit enter. You will view the Hughesnet System control center page.If not go to Lastly

Click on the Small Man Icon next to "what do these control means?" option. You will be redirected to the advanced configuration and the statistics page.

On the left panel you will see "Diagnostics"-- "Hourly" after clicking on hourly make sure there are no Red X specially against "cabling antenna pointing or uplink or downlink. If you don't see the RedX mark call the Hughesnet Customer care...otherwise

Lastly

I am sorry about this but it's time for you to upgrade because even the Hughesnet Technical Support will not provide you with any support as the modem that you are using right now is way too old and is not available in the market anymore otherwise you could get it replaced.

Please contact the sales department on 888-667-5544 or visit this link Hughesnet Sales

Good Luck.

  • Connect your PlayStation 3 game console to your cable modem using an Ethernet cable. The length of the cable needed depends on the distance of your PS3 from your cable modem. The Ethernet cable plugs directly into the rear of your PS3 console, as well as the rear of your cable modem.
  • Power on your PlayStation 3 and your cable modem.
  • Move to the Settings option on the XMB (short for cross media bar--another name for the PS3's home menu).
  • Scroll down to Network Settings and press "X" on the controller.
  • Select the Internet Connection option and make sure it's set to Enabled. Then scroll down to Internet Connection Settings and press "X."
  • Select "Yes" when the console notifies you it will be disconnected from the Internet. Select the "Easy" setting method. Your PS3 will configure your settings automatically. Press "X" when prompted to save the settings and test the connection.
  • This is the Plastation Tech Support No.

I am using hughesnet dish high speed internet running windows vista poor sound and delay with magicjack any help thanks. The phone service from the magic jack recieved sounds like poor connection when...

Actually with hughesnet its a common issue as it is satellite based service & gives high latency. What you can try is to contact your phone support & ask them if static ip address is going to give any help, as when you have dynamic ip address, your ports changes leading to more latency.

I have hughesnet on my desktop and am trying to link a satellite L355/S7915 to the internet with a D-Link WBR1310 without using a cable is this possible if so how do i do it

Make sure the ip address is not the same as the Hughesnet ip address. The ip address for the Hughesnet is 192.168.0.1. If the D-link is the same you must go in and change it. You will also need a wireless card to go into your desktop to make it wireless. Hope this helps!

I just got Hughes Net. I want to install a router

you did not mention which router you are trying to hook up with the Hughesnet Modem otherwise I would've given you a toll free number for the tech support.
Anyways, any kinda router would connect to the Hughesnet Modem.
Make sure that when your computer is directly connected to the Modem then you are able to go online.
Then for a general router connection you can refer to this link How to connect a Router
