Blinking power light

I have a HP Deskjet 3845 printer and I have recently changed the black ink catridge. It was working fine a couple days ago, until today when the power light started blinking. It won't print at all and it says something is wrong with my right catridge, so i take that out and it says something is wrong with my left catridge. But i didn't even touch the colour catridge at all!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The power light(on left) blinks continuously. I removed paper and reinstalled--still won't print. It has not been used for months before.

You remove both cartridge and clean the electrical contact points at
cartridge and printer and try.

It could be the timing of the cartridge is out possibly from the belt.

It should be serviced by a technician.

It could be the motor or the timing is off. Unless you had a paper jam happen today, there might be some paper in the path or blocking a sensor.

Open the Printer widget. Select your printer option for a a self test. But I believe that a self test option should be available from the printer's own command panel.

It could be because the Ink cartridge is defective , Did you try removing one cartridge and restrat it to see if the blinking stop , if not put the cartridge back and pull out the other one and try again !

Hi there, I have recently changed the black ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 3845 printer, but it now prints with purple ink. Can you help?

have you cleaned the print head? done a test page? i had a simlilar problem with a lexmark but it turned out to be a refilled cartridge. if you are using genuine hp cartridges i would recommend printing a test page and checking the solid colours .

Blinking green light

Clear the paper jam, or replace the ink cartridge. Possible causes are the paper jam or ink cartridge. The other solution is to disconnect the power from your printer and reconnect it. Hope this helps!

Try uninstalling both printers and their software and then reinstall them, the 3845 first. See if you get the same results before installing the 2610.

My HP printer's light blinks, but it doesn't print.

two things to consider.
1. If the blinking is fast (like more than two blinks per second) then the printer is damaged. Either the main controller board is fried or the carriage/ink controller is damaged.
2. if the blinking is slow ( 1 blink per second) this means that either of your cartridges is busted. remove the black cartridge then close the top cover. If the blinking stops, then the black ink is the culprit. If not, replace the black then remove the other cartridge. THis means that one of your cartridge needs to be replaced.
