The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

How do I reset the clock

On most machines there is a tiny button somewhere near the digital display.thus usually has to be held in for 5 to 10 seconds to get the clock digits to flash.then using a dial or up down keys you change the hour then press which ever button you first pressed to get minutes then set that then press the first button again to return to normal display.you may need to experiment to find what button to hold in first to get the clock to flash.

Hello. I just received a new Glass Touch ASM (WB27T10875) for my GE stove. My previous one cracked and needed to be replaced. Problem: While installing/ connecting the ASM to the stove, once I connect the...

Funniest thing. I was having the very same problem on Monday. Every time I laid the glass touch panel down on the stove, it stopped working but worked when I held it up. After failing to install the panel so it would work for 30 minutes, I walked away from it and ate dinner. Coming back later, I decided my problem was the connections on the back side were coming into contact with the metal so I placed a tightening knob in the center of each of the outside holes making sure the underside of the knob went exactly into the middle of the hole. I then lowered the left side of the panel down to where the threads started and very carefully partially tightened the left knob so none of the panel back touched the stove. I then lowered the right side until the knob touched the knob and tightened that side finger tight. I keep testing the buttons to make sure they were still working. When the out side knobs were finger tight, I finger tightened the 2 inside knobs. Success. My oven is now working.

I have maytag advance cooking system(electric) and the oven will not work. The timer to set the oven and the time is not lighting up but the stove is working.any sugestion

try resetting the clock. If it is digital, push the clock button and then the number buttons untill you have the proper time displayed...then push the clock button again. If your clock and timer are manual, try pushing in the clock lever and turning it 1/4 turn. If this works it would indicate that your timer has a start and finish time and that the oven is not working because the clock has rotated around to the finish time.

F2 comes up on my microwave and even though the clock is working none of the other buttons are working

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
Ok well whenever you get this error this is telling you that the touchpad has either shorted out due to the numbers being held down do long or they have stuck and shorted out and need to be replaced
If you are able to remove the touchpad and inspect it to ensure that all of the parts on the pad are working then reinstall it and try it again' but if it still shows the same thing then yes you will need to replace the touch pad ok ?
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Mike

I am getting an F7 error on my LG LRG30355ST Range. The panel is responsive to the Cancel/Off and Start buttons, but none of the other buttons appear to work. The burners still work, but I am unable to...

It means the keypad detects an electrical short. It's the equivalent of holding your finger to a number button for more than 40 seconds. It will cause an error. You have to remove/clean/repair whatever is causing the short. Try cleaning the front keypad with isopropyl alcohol. If it doesn't work, remove the front panel with a 1/4" socket wrench and T15 torx screw driver. Remove the LED/clock board with philips driver. Then clean the entire back of the keypad panel with ispropyl alcohol. Allow the alcohol to dry completely or use a hair dryer to dry the alcohol completely before plugging in stove again. I did this with my stove and it fixed the problem.

Clock frequently goes blank and needs to be reset

You have a faulty display module due to one or more components leaking. Some models have a seperate display module that can replaced without the complete board having to be replaced. If not, the board needs to be replaced. You need to ask your spares suppliers that have info. on that model.

Code popped up 5A6 and dont know what to do

The error code dispayed is actually "SAB". The following link epxlains what this is:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608491-sabb_or_sab_explanation_kitchen_ranges

It sounds like someone may have inadvertently set the oven to "Sabbath" mode. You cannot clear this mode by unplugging the appliance or resetting the circuit breaker. The mode will usually clear on its own after 48 to 72 hours.

This feature is normally associated with Kitchen Ranges and not microwave ovens. However, if your microwave has this feature, your owner's manual will explain how to turn it on/off under the Operating Instructions section.

If you cannot locate your manual please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and I can attempt to locate the instructions for you.

I hope this information is helpful to you.
