Question about Toshiba Satellite A40 Keyboard
You have a bad keyboard, which probably happens to this model because the keyboard connector cable gets folded (by design) and over time, well .... that did it. To get at the keyboard, remove the power button cover above the keyboard (lift up), then remove the 3 screws holding the keyboard down (Left, center, right), then you'll be able to get the model number of the keyboard to look for a replacement. It shouldn't cost over $20 on eBay.
