How do I find the code for my 2006 Honda Element so I can reset after changing the battery. I never received one when I purchased the car.

I had this same problem before and I did not have the code.I called a dealer and they told me to bring it in and so I did. What you need to do is take your vehicle to a honda store near you and they will be able to give you the code using your VIN number.

I changed the oil. Do I need to grease it?

HI. It is a good rule to have a lube inspection preformed during every scheduled oil change. This will cover all lube points at the front and rear axle assemblies and steering assemblies, as well.

With that said; if you are not hearing any sounds that may indicate that you do, indeed, need a lube job, I would not recommend it at this time.

2006 Honda Element EXP - 40K miles

I have a 2006 Honda Element as well, and mine started making "rubbing" noises when I made a slow hard turn left or right. It had 49K on it. Took it to a dealership and had it looked at. The technician knew what it was right off the bat. The rear differential needed to be serviced. Said the fluid had broken down and needed replacing. $79.00 to fix. CRV have the same problem. Just get it serviced and it should be ok.
