What causes starter housing to break near the fly wheel of John deere tractor 2950?

The starter armature may have been stuck while engaged with the flywheel or possibly just a casting that failed.

How do you find a flies nest?

Fly spray the flies and see where the rest are hanging around. Some food somewhere in your house that has gone bad is a probable cause or a dead animal under the house or in the walls .

How to change developer beads

I have the complete 9 page instructions with images if you want I can e-mail them to you. Here is a snippet explaining just the portion of the beads. (email me at itsallnoise2me@gmail.com for complete instructions). Also, if you purchase the developer beads from iteminc.com they will include the instructions " 1. Place the developer housing assembly (new or used) to be recharged on a drop cloth. Caution During this procedure, the developer housing assembly must be kept level at all times. To prevent toner spillage, it is recommended that the developer housing assembly be fully supported level by laying it on something like a large piece of cloth, paper towels or styrofoam hollowed out for the developer housing assembly to lie on. If new, remove the protective cover over the magnetic roller. Do not touch the magnetic roller. Note The wires are routed under and behind the right snap tab. 2. Release the snap tabs at each end of the developer housing assembly and remove the assembly cover. 3. Agitate the package of developer mix and then cut it open. Carefully pour the entire contents of developer mix as evenly as possible over the two augers. Do not let the developer mix accumulate heavily on the roller. Keep the developer housing assembly level. 4. Reinstall the cover making sure that the rear tabs are all engaged in their respective slots while positioning the wire harness under the snap tab. Press firmly until you hear a positive "snap" sound for each tab indicating each snap tab is securely fastened. 5. Tear off the ATC sensor perforated tag. Do NOT remove the ATC sensor label from the developer housing.Peel off the protective backing, and adhere the label to the appropriate or corresponding Imaging Unit Plate. Make sure the ATC sensor tag label can be located if needed later. 6. Record the number for entering into NVRAM in the next step. 7. Perform the ATC Sensor Setup procedure."

Clutch went out..what do i need to buy?

I would go to your local parts house and ask for a New Clutch Pak
which should have a new clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing and a pilot bearing and a alinement tool. Than I would see if they have a replacement flywheel. The reason for the fly wheel is due to hot spots and uneven wear on the fly wheel. If you do not replace your flywheel or have it machined you will get chattering everytime you step on clutch

How do i replace the timming belt on a 1996 vw glof 2.0

if you havn' t done it before best to get an experienced technician to do it. [critical part, can cause major damage if incorrectly fitted]. before removing belt line up timing mark on crankshaft pulley with arrow on timing belt cover. remove inspection plug on top of gearbox bell housing. v cut away on fly wheel should be lined up with notch on g/box housing. timing mark on inside of camshaft pulley must line up with top of cylinder head surface at front of head. if distributor fitted, remove cap . rotor should be pointing to mark on distributor housing. remove old belt, fit new keeping timing marks in same positions. tension cambelt. should be able to turn belt 90 degrees side ways between cam pulley and intermediate pulley if tension is correct. reset ignition timing on completion.

I have gone through three starters on my truck in two weeks. My truck runs fine once starting but has trouble turning over. It's making a loud noise almost like metal on metal while trying to start

remove starter, mark your flywheel, turn one complete revolution with bolt in the crank
inspect every tooth on fly wheel, call your local
chevy dealer and give them the vehicle identification
number from your truck and ask for the manufacturers original part number call the parts house you got your starter from and have them cross reference your starters part number with the manufacturers to insure it is the correct model then shim your starter shims are available from your local parts house start with one shim if it grinds metal to metal add another if it whines like a low tone whistle
remove a shim repeat this process until you have the correct tone or sound when you start your truck
i hope this helps

The pull start needs rewinding, the pull start came lose and goudged a groove in the fly wheel.

Recoil Spring Rewind
I invert and secure the housing and rewind the spring large coil to small (need eye protection, both hands and no women around work area!). I'm right handed so I tension the spring enough to insert it inside the previous coil while holding what has already been installed with my left about 180° from my right hand. The tension will hold the spring in the housing once completely inserted. Then bend slightly the inner most part to engage the starter spool. It will require about 2 turns of pretension for it to retract properly.
If you're lucky you can pull the cord out enough for a pretension then slightly raise and add the withdrawn cord to the spool. HTH

The clutch operates dry. Your assumption that it would slip with oil in there is a good one.
