Hi, Depending on what the load is and what voltge the loads are thosde readings are very normal. Only the 120 volt loads show up on the neujtral leg. 240 volt loads will only show on the two legs used..... It also depends if this is a Wye or Delta hookujp
i would do some balancing of the loads and tghat is all.

Ya well I never mentioned anything about a Fax Machine, that actually came from your original question, you have this listed under fax machines in your question... that's why that showed up. I realize it was a power problem and was trying to get clarification.

So just to let you know, it was listed under Fax Machines somehow by yourself...

    Thanks,
    Tim

My viking vcrb 364 all refrigerator beeps 5 times and the lights are scrolling. Manual is unclear about cause.

Check power is proper. And also check neutral is not weak in plug point. Plug with some other point to confirm fridge in under problem. Check with amps meter holding phase or neutral wire for checking compressor is on or taking over current. Due to over current (high amps) light scrolling and beeps sound will be there.. If high current in compressor, call repairman to replace it.

Check what manual you're having is equal with this pdf format.

Taking my P660 out out a building with 3 phase power and into one with only single phase. Converter says motor will run on 2/3 power. Good or bad idea????

Good!

MOTOR:

21?2 H.P., Hobart designed, high torque ball bearing,

ventilated within mixer enclosure. Single-phase is

capacitor-start, induction-run type.

Three-phase is

polyphase squirrel cage, induction-run type.

Single Phase 208V 20.0 Amps

240V 17.0 Amps

Three Phase 208-240V 8.6 Amps

How can i get single phase power from my 3 phase generator

I have not wire this myself
Wiki says under heading of single-phase:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-phase_electric_power
Single-phase loads may be connected to a three-phase system in two ways. A load may be connected across two of the three phase conductors or a load can be connected from a live phase conductor to the system neutral. Single-phase loads should be distributed evenly between the phases of the three-phase system for efficient use of the supply transformer and supply conductors. Where the line-to-neutral voltage is a standard utilization voltage (for example in a 230 V/400 V system), individual single-phase utility customers or loads may each be connected to a different phase of the supply. Where the line-to-neutral voltage is not a common utilization voltage, for example in a 347/600 V system, single-phase loads must be supplied by individual step-down transformers.

So it sounds like you take 2 legs of the 3-phase.
or
Take one leg of the 3-phase and connect to neutral ... neutral could be a ground rod.

I would put a meter on that circuit before hooking up my power saw.

Can tree limbs touching/rubbing against the wires coming from the utility pole cause the 100 Amp Main circuit breaker to trip????

yes,if it has worn the insulation through on one or more of the hot phase conductors to the neutral phase wire, but also check the neutral busbar in the breaker panel for a high resistance connection as this will also trip the main breaker

How to install a 208v outlet for a stove

if its a single phase panel you will only have 120/240 v.a.c. you can wire it for 240 volts and it will heat faster anyway the only way you could have 208 volts would be if you had 3 phase delta or open delta 3 phase or buy a special "dry-type" transformer for 240 volt to 208 volt step-down,otherwise it will be red-& black will be your 2 hot phases of 120 volts each/white-neutral/and green or green-yellow will be the case safety ground

I HAVE 1.5TON AC IE WINDOW a\C IT CONSUMES MORE

Air conditioners compressors are high starting torque motors , although it uses 15 amps running , it takes perhaps 3 times that briefly to start a compressor. Thats why in the old days the lights dimmed while the ac started etc. Air conditioners are designed to operate at 95 outdoor/ 80 indoor. The design temps are 80 air into a 40 coil gives 60 supply temp, for a 20 temp drop with each pass.
The outdoor coils are 30 above ambient so the hot outdoor air will still be cool in relation to the hot refrigerant gas and remove heat to condense it back to a liquid. Since the pressures and temps are according to ambient there isnt any way to not have the amp draw increase with load.
That said check the breaker for age and replace if not pretty, check all connections for tightness, consider dedicated circuit.

What type of powercord and outlet does this dryer require? Electrician installed a 220 outlet.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
ELECTRIC Dryer
CIRCUIT - Individual 30 amp. branch circuit fused with 30
amp. time delay fuses or circuit breakers.
Use separately fused circuits for washers and dryers, and DO
NOT operate a washer and a dryer on the same circuit.
POWER SUPPLY - 3 wire or 4-wire, 240 volt, single phase, 60
Hz, Alternating Current.
POWER SUPPLY CORD KIT - The dryer MUST employ a 3-
conductor power supply cord NEMA 10-30 type SRDT rated at
240 volt AC minimum, 30 amp., with 3 open end spade lug
connectors with upturned ends or closed loop connectors and
marked for use with clothes dryers.
WARNING – Risk of Shock. Appliance grounded to neutral
conductor through a link. Grounding through the neutral link is
prohibited for (1) New branch circuit installations (2) mobile
homes; (3) recreational vehicles; and (4) areas where local codes
do not permit grounding through the neutral, (1) disconnect the
link from the neutral, (2) use grounding terminal or lead to
ground appliance in accordance with local codes and (3) connect
neutral terminal or lead to branch circuit neutral in usual manner
(if the appliance is to be connected by means of a cord kit, use
4-conductor cord for this purpose). USE COPPER CONDUCTOR
ONLY. The dryer MUST employ a 4-conductor power supply
cord NEMA 14-30 type SRDT or ST (as required) rated at 240
volt AC minimum, 30 amp., with 4 open end spade lug
connectors with upturned ends or closed loop connectors and
marked for use with clothes dryers.
