My 60CT-1 only fires at full power. Worked fine one day the next time I used the unit it would only fire full power each flash.

Is the top dial set on AUTO?

Is the sensor window clean or obstructed?

Checking both of these may solve your problem. Do you have a Manual for this flash? There are free pdf downloads on the I/Net.

Flash not firing, pilot light not on but display is fine

Hi John,
If your problem has not been fixed or a solution not found yet then you may consider this. Flash units are built with many tiny parts; thus, when a single component malfunction, it will render the whole unit useless. You mentioned the pilot light is not working - that indicates that power is not flowing through the unit.
Check the filament of the unit - if you notice some brownish stain on either end of the tube, it indicates the filament has burned out. Changing the type of batteries won't make any difference.
the only option you have now is to service the flash unit

I cannot seem to get the flash to fire consecutively ,I have changed the batteries for lithium, and yet still one shot to the next shot is at least 7- 10 seconds before the flash will fire again. what to...

Hi windnenergy, It is the recycle of the batteries and, power setting of the flash. Lower power settings will allow us to shoot faster. So, check the power settings, run tests to see how long the flash recycles at lower power settings. You may find you do not need a full flash power shot.

Can't fire properly at 90 degrees

Did you buy this used? Maybe the following problems: wires inside are loose or cold soldered. Flash tube has coated with film coating or flash head(inside)is dirty. Alexander atdlee@netzero.com

Flash doesn't fire properly at regular position

Did you buy this used or new?

If used: neck has broken/shorted wires.
Try fires with the Test Button in A mode with hand blocking sensor and then without. Move head around.

If I can help.

Problem with AF-360FGZ Flash

Yes. The *istD shutter can only provide X-sync for electronic flash up to 1/150 sec. The *istDS reaches 1/180 sec. "High speed" electronic flash is done by strobing the flash repeatedly during the period that the shutter slit is traveling across the focal plane, at th expense of cutting power output quite a bit.
