LRA how to convert in tonage so 10 LRA How many ton and 145 LRA Copland scroll compressor tonage value pleas give me answer

LRA on the data tag stands for "locked rotor amps" and has nothing to do with tonnage. In the model # there should be a number to use. And divide that # by 12 (12,000 btu/ton). So if I had a PFG24H200 it would be the "24"and a 2 ton unit

What is the tonage looking for the tonage

It will usually be in the model number on the unit. You will have to supply the model number and possibly the serial number for us to see. Thanks!

No problem.....only want info. on the unit....I can buy one and need the tons, etc.

should be able to read the model number right off of the compressor......(the big black dome shaped thing). That model number tells the btu/hp which translates to tonage. It also lists the electrical data such as voltage.

What is the tonage on a 10aja3601

Hi, the tonnage of your unit is a 3 Ton unit. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling, so your model number has a a36, so 3 x 12 = 36 which is 36 = 3 tons of cooling.

Air conditon units

the higher the seer the more efficent it is no matter the tonage of the unit

make sure that the tonage is correctly sized for the home rule of thumb is if the home is insulsted properly 600 sq feeet per ton
oversizing creates shot cycles real cool then warm real cool then warm, under size unit runs all the time
