Check the Scanner Lamp Surface and make sure nothing is stuck . If you see something on it, you need to disassemble the machine and clear the obstruction. The lamp faces upward on the glass bed, so to check the lamp, run a scanning and unplug the power cord while the lamp reaches the middle, otherwise it's not visible when you Turn off the machine as usual. It'll be hidden on the other end.
It's also possible that there's something wrong with the Flex cable which connects the Lamp to the motherboard.. or it could be the motherboard itself. First try with the Scanner Lamp and it'll be easier for you to troubleshoot.
