Oh dear! I would check your household insurance if it was an accident, just in case a replacement is required.
Most items that get wet rarely recover without problems.
The water should not be able to get into the screen as it is a sealed. If the water has not entered the TV, you may get away with wiping the screen with an almost dry cloth that has dilute detergent on it, (washing up liquid and warm water is fine). That will remove the streaks.
Good luck!

We didn't know that our son had sprayed febreez on the back of our LCD tv. When my husband turned it on it has vertical lines all across the screen and then everything goes fuzzy. Once I realized what had...

You probably have an LCD TV; if this happened to a plasma set, there likely would have been fireworks inside.

From the video symptoms, it appears some of the spray got into the T-Con (short for Timing Controller) board or the connections between that board and the display panel. I don't know what is in Febreze or whether it could corrode the components, or whether it could adsorb moisture on humid days and cause problems again after it dries out. At a minimum, unplug the TV so you can be sure there won't be electricity to accelerate any corrosion.

The T-Con is usually covered with a steel shield and has two wide ribbon cables connected to the edge of the LCD panel, and a cable made of twisted pairs of wires going to the main board. On most LCD TV sets, the T-Con board is located at the top center of the set, but some have on the bottom center. Remove the back of the TV and inspect for spray residue in this area (the TV must be unplugged, and be careful not touch the power supply board (the power cord wiring is connected to the power supply board) because it can hold a high voltage charge for as long as half an hour after it is unplugged.

If the T-Con board got soaked, the best thing is to remove it and wash it off with distilled water (it may be necessary to clean it with distilled water and dish soap mix, then thoroughly rinse with distilled water). Let it dry for three days or put it in an airtight container with dessicant or dry rice for at least a day - it takes that long for the water under the chips to dry out. The cables and connectors are rather delicate; you cannot just yank them out. The ribbon cable connectors have lock tabs that must be unlatched; then the cables disconnect easily (the cable ends probably need to be cleaned where they go into the connectors; if so, also very gently wipe off any spray on the edge of the panel in the connector area). The cable to the main board (called the LVDS, or Low-Voltage Differential Signal cable) has two shiny metal latches, one on each side of the connector. Gently squeeze those toward each other and pull the cable connector out of the mating shell on the board (avoid pulling on those tiny wires!). If you look up your TV model on the ShopJimmy website and find the T-Con board listed for the set, there will be a video on the part page showing how to remove and replace it. I strongly recommend checking out this video and the price of the T-Con board ASAP - it will help you decide whether to do it yourself or bail out and take it to a TV repair shop.

Note: the board can be damaged by static electricity from your fingers. Avoid touching the components or wiring traces on the board, just handle it by the edges. Do not set it down on a plastic surface, upholstery or carpet; these can carry static charges. Don't let your children touch the inside of the set while it's open.

Samsung LCD TV 46 inch LN46A550 colors are all messed up.

My solution to that pixelation color problem was replacement of the flat wire connected to the Tuner board and video data board, must be new and original replacement part. I clean the terminals(don't brush just spray on)with electronic contact cleaner, let it dry or blow dry with hair dryer to vaporize left over liquid on both boards.Reason these flat wire problem is due to environmental(moisture)corrosion and breakage of the folded parts of the wire. I tested the replaced part and found breaks or cut ,we call it in electronic term"open connection".

My 2 year old son sprayed water on our Samsung 1080p tv screen. At first the tv screen turned different colours with one white line down the middle. Now the screen is black and flickers coloured vertical...

You may have shorted out the driver circuits on the LCD panel or on the T-CON board, you will have to try to dry out any moisture left inside the LCD panel assembly. Typical repair bill for shop can be $150 and up plus any parts that it may need, sorry for the bad news since the LCD may have to be repleaced if the damage is badly done. You need to open it up and look real close at the LCD panel and the T-CON board.

I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know.
