If the problem always occurs when the pool cleaner starts to climb walls, there are a few things that you will want to check. First of all, if your pool has a vinyl liner, this pool cleaner has limited climbing ability. You need to check the flow of water through the cleaner with your flow gauge. It might be low. If it is, increase the water flow. Also, make sure that your hose weight positioning is correct. The cleaner should sit at a 45 degree angle at the bottom of the pool when resting when the weights are right.

G4 keeps heading for and climbing the sides of the pool, always making a long run along the side walls of the pool. The bottom is not being cleaned. Have adequate lenght of hose. Diaphram has no holes....

If these pool cleaners are staying on the edge on the pool, there are two things that you can do to correct the problem. First, reduce the flow through the cleaner to the low side of the ideal range. Second, add a hose weight about 3 feet from the cleaner's head. That should correct the issue.

Cleaner comes to the sides and top of pool, and won't stay on the bottom.

Cleaner won't leave or rim of edge of pool. Use Pool Pulse to lower flow. Utilize return flow to move cleaner. Adjust hose weight.

POOL PULSE (metering flow)
The Pool Pulse is a flow meter that measures the volume of water flowing through your Zodiac cleaner. It must be used to properly set the flow and can be used as a diagnostic tool when the cleaner isn't running properly. This piece should have been provided with your original box, but if you have lost or discarded the pool pulse flow meter, then you will need to purchase another one either online, or at your local swimming pool retailer. For the following steps (using 2 people is recommended; one poolside and the other at the plumbing manifold.) Vacuum and skimmer valves are located at your plumbing manifold. • Remove the cleaner head. • Attach the Pool Pulse to the end of the hose and keep it under water. • Turn on the filtration system. • For pools with one skimmer, flow is automatically regulated by the Flowkeeper Valve. Insure the blue indicator of the Pool Pulse is in the ideal range (when viewed from the side). • For pools with two or more skimmers, leave the selected skimmer open and slowly close the other skimmer(s) until the blue indicator of the Pool Pulse moves into the ideal range (when viewed from the side). • For pools with a wall vacuum fitting, leave the wall vacuum fitting fully open and slowly close the skimmer valve until the blue indicator of the Pool Pulse moves into the ideal range (when viewed from the side). • Keeping the hose under water, remove the Pool Pulse. Submerge the cleaner head, and when the bubbles stop coming from the extension pipe, attach the hose end. Your installation is now complete.

REGULATING RETURNS Divert the pool return inlets downward - Your Zodiac Automatic Pool Cleaner must move randomly throughout the pool and water circulating at the surface will influence the hose and limit coverage. • To adjust the return inlet: loosen the lock ring and redirect the eyeball downward, then retighten the lock ring. If the eyeball is difficult to adjust, insert a screwdriver inside the eyeball and gently adjust downward. • If the return inlets cannot be pointed downward, then you MUST install Zodiac return line diverters. They are available online or through you local retailer.
This is what a diverter looks like. zodiac_return_line_diverter.jpg
Adjusting weight on cleaner: FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW FOR YOUR SPECIFIC CLEANER MODEL. (Model number is stated on the cover of the manual that came with your cleaner) MODEL# W83251 - Hose weight is not required for this model cleaner in most pools. As a troubleshooting technique to improve coverage or prevent the cleaner from climbing the walls excessively, snap (1) hose weight onto the first hose section, one meter from the cleaner head. MODEL# W03000 - Snap (1) hose weight onto the middle of the first hose section, 1/2 meter from the cleaner head. MODEL# W83215 & W83216 - Snap (2) hose weights onto the middle of the second hose section, 1 1/2 meters from the cleaner head.

I put the eyeball diverter on my pool and the cleaner runs up to it and the hose hangs on it. I keep my hose laying out strait when not in use. It does seem to stay on the sides also.

If the eyeball diverter is not working, you might need to install a wall climb adjuster (Part #K12065). This will keep the automatic pool cleaner on the pool's floor and walls and away from pool obstructions. Make sure the narrow end of the wall climb adjuster points down to the drive tubes.

It stops after 30 min. Lays on it's back then starts up again. Has trouble climbing the walls to the very top

There are several problems that could make these automatic pool cleaners fail to climb the walls. The cleaner could be too heavy. Empty and wash the filter bag and add floats if necessary. If there are excessive amounts of algae on the wall, you will need to brush the walls first. The algae can prevent the cleaner from climbing. Make sure that the temp is at least 65 degrees in the pool. Make sure that there is no water in the handle and that the bushes arent worn. If the cleaner is too light, add weights. Make sure there is nothing caught in the impeller.

My polaris won't climb the walls and stays on his left two wheels.

Make sure that your hose length is long enough to cover the entire pool. This sounds like common sense, but it is often the problem. Make sure that your thrust jets are working properly. Turn the cleaner over while it is operating. You should see 3 distinct thrust jets. Check to see that they are all working. Remove the head float and shake it. If there is water in the head float, you will need to replace it. This is also a common problem with these pool cleaners.

Aquabot Turbo T won't climb

1.`. Replace your old, water logged floats. They will dry out when the unit is out of the pool, and the unit will work fine until they water log again, which may takes as few as 10 minutes in the pool. 2. Stop using all those words *********** didn't teach you and probably didn't even know...This is a common problem. http://www.i-love-my-aquabot-automatic-pool-cleaner.com/ gives some really good insight, too!
