Sony Vaio keyboard repeating letters

Keyboards to wear out, but are not expensive to replace. Multiple key strikes and sticking can be caused by spilling "stuff" into the keyboard, even crumbs will do it.

My "@ _ - ' these symbolsare not working in my keyboard

if you do not have caps lock then that could do it. also, keyboards do wear out or break, where the sensors below the actual key stop connecting or sending the signal. you must remove the key shell and inspect the connection of metal to metal. if connectors are good then the impulse mechs are not or the usb plug for wireless is too weak to send the signal to the pc

My ASUS key board white letters and numbers are fadding off.

There is nothing to do other than replace the keyboard. This happens on some keyboards due to wear and is more often the most commonly used keys that it happens to.

Dell keyboard locked up

Dear Sir,

PLzz folow this step to unlock your keyboard

Step 1 Check to be sure your "Number Lock" or "Function Lock" keys aren't lit. These can lock out certain parts of your keyboard. If either of these is lit, press them to unlock the locked portion of your keyboard. These can be found at the top right on a laptop and between the number pad and main keys on a desktop keyboard.
  • Step 2 Save all open programs using your mouse. Use your mouse to restart your computer. This will only work if your computer isn't frozen. If your mouse doesn't move, press the power button on your Dell until the computer turns off. Press it again to restart. If the issue was lack of memory or a locked program, this will unlock your keyboard. Continue to Step 3 if the keyboard is still locked.
  • Step 3 Shut down your computer using your mouse or power button. Don't restart. Unplug your Dell.
  • Step 4 Remove the battery if you're using a laptop by turning the laptop over and sliding the battery release latch. Slide the battery out and replace after one minute.
For desktops, disconnect the keyboard from the desktop. Reconnect after one or two minutes.
  • Step 5 Reconnect the power adapter or AC cord. Start your computer.
  • Step 6 If your keyboard is still locked on a Dell desktop, disconnect the keyboard. Restart your computer and reconnect the keyboard after the system boots. Allow your operating system to recognize and reinstall the keyboard

My key pads are sticking when I type how do I clean them?

Keyboards are fragile and there's not really any way to clean it. If you just keep using the keyboard, the stickiness will probably eventually wear off. You can order a replacement keyboard and replace it without too much trouble. Search for tutorials on google.

Some keys of laptop dont work like q,e,t,i,o,enter up arrow

More thanlikely just your keyboard is going bad. The pads under the keys will wear out over time and not make contact correctly with the electrical pad underneath. The keyboard on a laptop acts like a big electrical circuit and these wear out over time and use. Change out your keyboard. Send me a message with the make and model and I'll post a link to the factory service manual on how to dissassemble and replace parts.

MOST OF MY KEYBOARD IS NOT WORKING. Also is in caps lock when turned off.

Could be that you got some tea, coffee or cooldrink on that keyboard. Sometimes it is pure wear and tear. It is NOT repairable. The best thing to do is get a NEW keyboard. They are not really too expensive. If you think your laptop is still in a very good condition then it could be worth your while to get yourself a new keyboard

There should be a button called "numlock" which will enable to you use the keypad to the right of the keyboard, however, you don't need to "lock" the keyboard to use the numbers on the top row.

    1. Something got stuck under the keyboard of your laptop. Food scraps or Dirt and Grime build-up due to sweaty palms or fingers clean the keyboard.
2.The Membrane on your keyboard that act as a switch cold be shorted due to wear and tear or heavy key presses. Have your keyboard replaced.

Other problems could be cracked board if you happen to lean or put heavy stuff over the keyboard and cracked ribbon connector.
