Hi I had the same problem thi smorning. To my limited knowledge, I think it was because I disconnected the port from the pebble before disconnecting it from the computer. So i just reconnected eveything back, and then disconnected the usb port first and then the jack from the pebble.

Am keeping my fingers crossed, but I think that was it! :)

What does error code 032 fatal error mean and how can I fix it

Here's the link to your 500 page Manual. I used the search function at the top of the Abobe Doc which it is formatted as and typed in your error.

It won't call up anything about 032 but Fatal Error recommends only "Call For Service".

Not very helpful is it?

Oh well, please don't thrash my rating with 2 blue thumbs or less. I tried. :(

I have a problem with my MD player.on screen showing read error it easy to fix?

The error means that the player is unable to read the table of contents (TOC) on discs any more.If it's an occasional error then you can try switching to TDK blanks as they seem to be easier for flaky players to read, but if it's happening regularly to all discs then your machine is unrepairable due to a total lack of spare parts.

On the plus side, there are millions of MD units now lying unused as folks have moved on from them and as they're mostly worthless people don't generally bother with trying to sell them. Almost every piece of MD gear I own has come free of charge via my local FreeCycle and Freegle groups. Whatever you do, don't buy a used player from anyone: they're all getting on now and the TOC error is an age-related fault which may occur at any time.

If you wish to see exactly what features other machines have then visit the superb equipment browser at The site is hosted but n longer maintained though so some information is out of date, but it's still the most comprehensive source of free information about MD available.

Sorry here's probably no hope for your player, but I hope that my reply has given you a practical alternative means of solving your problem.

Error 032

My NW-A1000 also threw up the same problem when I left my laptop and it went into sleep mode.

Pressing the reset button with the end of a paper clip did cure the problem with no loss of music.

Hope this helps others.

What is an I/O device error?

I/O refers to input/output, meaning USB items as well as anything else "plugged" into the computer. Usually just referring to USB though. Try using a different port, although that usually isn't the problem. If that fails to work, try pulling the player out, then reinserting it, sometimes the computer fails to recognize the item. When you put it in, if you are using a Windows operating system, go to My Computer, and wait for it to recognize the player. You may have to go into the system BIOS/CMOS, and turn on PnP(Plug and Play) capabilities if they are not enabled. If none of these work, you may have a defective player or perhaps bad USB ports. I'll try to find more info on it if I can.

My M512A3 kenwood doesn't work

This error usually occurred when the player is removed unsafely from the computer... Make sure to use the "the safe hardware removal ". In order to fix it, try to format the player with the original CD-ROM? it will fix it. Be aware that it will erase every data on the player. sorry. Good luck.
