I have exactly the same problem with the user who posted the below enquiry on 16/06/08 "Can you please help my Brother MFC-620CN kepts telling me it is unable to clean and to check maintenance Chapter. I have tried to clean it manually with no sucess. Can you please advise?"

In my case, If I follows the manual to clean the printerhead as suggested by going to "Ink Management" and trying to press "Cleaning", I hear a beep and the LCD again desplays the same message "unable to clean". So, it is impossible to clean the printer head either. I am all thumb about printer cleaning, but what exactly can I do, hopefully step by step, to resolve this problem - is it a resolvable problem by an end user?

Cleaning here is more like the head cleaning from the print manager.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Problem with my printer Brother MFC-240C "Print unable 4F"

Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.

This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart,
try this step by step.without missing any thing. thanks
