Hi,
The 3225 Gps, is known to have some software glitches. Reseting the device, should solve your problem as told by Ekse.
Alternatively you can call Magellan Support on the following number 800-805-6003.

Thanks
Mandeep

    Hi,

Even after the reset if the audio is not working , there has to be an issue with the Hardware ie. either the sepakers or the sound card. I would suggest again if its in warranty get it serviced from the vendor or get the same replaced.

    Thanks

There are two ways to access the volume controls; one is tapping the speaker icon on the Map screen
and the other is through User Options.
Changing the Volume from the Map Screen.

1. Tap the speaker icon
2. Tap on the Mute button to mute the volume or tap inside the volume adjust bar below the
Mute button to change the volume levels.
3. Tap save
If you have the volume muted the speaker icon is displayed with a line through it indicating it is
muted. To unmute, tap the speaker icon again and the Maestro will automatically unmute. To make
any other adjustments to the volume, press the speaker icon again.

Changing the Volume from User Options
1. Access the Main Menu.
2. Tap the Next arrow to access the Main Menu Page 2.

if for some reason this doesnt work and you do have to reset the device as others say. Make sure you backup any extra Map packs you may have installed so you dont lose them.

    you do that like so

    Backing Up and Restoring Data

Backup and restore provides a way of storing the address book and other data to a SD/MMC card. When the data has been backed up, it can be restored at any time. Please note that when you restore from backed up data, address book and other data will be replaced with the data. The Magellan Maestro cannot append backed up data to your existing data.
    Backing Up Data
    1. From page 2 of the Main Menu, tap User Options.
    2. Insert a SD or MMC card with available space into the SD slot of the Magellan Maestro.
Note that backing up data will overwrite any back up files on the SD or MMC card.
    3. Tap Backup and Restore.
    4. Tap Backup.
    5. Confirm backup. Tap Yes.
    6. Operation successful! Tap OK.
    7. Tap Back arrow to exit.

    Restoring Data

    1. From page 2 of the Main Menu, tap User Options.
    2. Insert a SD or MMC card with available space into the SD slot of the Magellan Maestro.
Note that backing up data will overwrite any back up files on the SD or MMC card.
    3. Tap Backup and Restore.
    4. Tap Restore.
    5. Confirm restore. Tap Yes.
    6. Operation successful! Tap OK.
    7. Tap Back arrow to exit.

    hopes this all helps you

I would suggest to try making sure that its not saving the setting before resetting the device as it would be useless to loose all the data if it doesnt have to. You can do this by following the first steps I posted to you.

    glad i could help,

    Nate

Hi,

Initially, let's assume that for some unknown reasons part of your configuration/settings has been messed up. Then, what would be needed would be to revert the unit back to factory defaults by doing a full hard reset that is poke the small hole with the paper clip which would be in left hand side of the unit. Of course all other personal configurations would likewise be defaulted.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Nuvi 2555mt lost voice

First, do you hear beeps when you press a selection on the screen? If yes, then your speaker is OK and the audio circuits are OK in the unit. Make sure that you have a voice selected in the voice menu. Some units have an audio mixer screen and provide different volume settings for navigation (voice) and system (beeps). maybe the volume for the voice (navigation) is set to off. If you don't hear any beeps when you touch the screen AND you don't hear a voice, make sure that the sound isn't set to be muted. If the sound isn't muted, you may have a defective speaker. My 4250 stopped talking. I ran the diagnostic

Probably a bad speaker, common problem with GPS units. Is there any sound at all, have you tried calling your cell phone to see if you can hear the rig through the GPS?

Try that and if you still can't hear anything it could be the speaker.

Magellan Maestro 3225 signal is no longer working. No satellite for navigation.

Look in the back. There is a small rubber cap on top of the external antenna hookup. Remove the rubber cap with a pin and hookup a long wire on the middle. That should amplify the signal.

No Sound

Is there any mute/unmute or volume control on the GPS? If so, is the mute/unmute function unmuted, and is the volume all the way up? If you have already checked this stuff, then would say that the device is bad (in which case you can probably send it back to Magellan for a replacement) or the speaker was somehow disconnected( in which case you can't fix it). Has the audio ever worked?
