Re: x box 360
Hey tjames2ya, If your XBox 360 is not turning on, you may wish to verify that the power adaptor is functioning correctly. The power adaptor should have a light somewhere on its casing that shows up green, red or orange when plugged in. Each of these colors is an indication of a different problem: * Green indicates that power is being correctly supplied to the XBox 360. If the XBox 360 still does not turn on, you will need to contact Microsoft for repairs and support. * Orange indicates that at least one connection is loose. Making sure that all of the cables attached to the XBox 360 are secure should resolve this type of problem, and allow your console to power on. * Red indicates that the power adaptor has either overheated or needs to be replaced. If the light is out, this may also be an indicator that the power adaptor is defective, but it may just as easily be a sign that the outlet the XBox 360 was plugged into did not provide enough electricity to power the console. Unfortunately, in order to reset the XBox 360 you will need power to be supplied to the console. If replacing the power adaptor or double-checking your connections does return power to the console, you may then reset it by performing a "power cycle" (turning the unit off, then back on roughly 10-15 seconds later). Hope this helps you out. Sincerely, Aaron Go Ahead. Use Us.

Reset all passcodes and security questions with this code:
Note: The reset code Microsoft support gives out is a unique button combo based on the 360 serial number. Best bet is to call Microsoft Support to get the code for your specific Xbox 360 serial n umber. Below is just one example of code given, but there are many.
1. On the 360 dashboard, scroll over to the "System" tab. 2. On the System tab, click "Console Settings". 3. Scroll down in console settings and click "System Info". 4. When the system info box comes up type in this sequence: LT RT X Y LB RB Y "Left Stick in" (press it in) Y Y A box should come up and say, "Would you like to reset the console to the factory defaults?" Click Reset and you're done!
If this doesn't work, call Microsoft at 1-800-4MY-XBOX (U.S.). Provide them with your registration info and they will tell you how to reset the console.
Call Xbox Customer Support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269).
Try and resset the xbox by pressing and holding the small button by the 2nd memory slot and the eject button together before turning the unit on, the xbox will turn on whilst still holding the the eject button release the other button then press it in again, the lights should stop flashing, now power off using the normal switch and then power back on again, and a game again. hope this and post back what happens. ty
Sometimes the easiest way is the fastest way.The signal reset button (the little one to the left of the power button) is also the unofficial reset button for the Xbox 360. With the Xbox turn off, press this button and keep pressing it while you press the power button. Do not release the reset button until you see the system booting up normally. Of course, if there is a permanent or a more serious damage to the system, it won’t work or the error will be recurrent until it is solved. Resetting just clears the error from memory.
Is your power box light orange or green. It should be orange if turned off and go green when turned on if it is red your power supply box is no good you can unplug it leave off for 10 minutes or so then try again if light doesn't go orange you won't be able to turn it on. I had the same problem and it was power supply box with red light got new one works great.
You appear to be on a router where you flipped on a security switch in the router and now this MTU is not working properly. There is a small, small button on the back of your modem or router. You have to press it with the tip of a pen, it's that small! This will reset all settings on the modem or router and then you can power off and on the box for 30 seconds, leave it on and try again. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU OWN CONTROL OVER THE BOXES OR GET PARENTS PERMISSION FOR THIS KIDS! By default, all the security settings are disabled and go back to original working state for configuration or use or the box. If you turn on anything security related on your router or modem, this will give you MTU issues all the time! Stop touching those settings if you don't know how to configure a router.
