I turn on the unit, and after about 1 minute, the screen begins to flicker non stop. Can the problem be solved?

Screen just continously flickers. Still readable but its a real distraction.

yup i have the same problem, its like the screen is made up of hundreds of horizontal lines and most of them go missing, then sometimes u get thin vertical brown lines where u cant see anything else, i tried removing the batteries for a few mins turn it back on and its all ok however this does not work every time, d be interested to know if there is a cure for this problem, the legend can work fine for a few hours then all of a sudden the screen does any of the above

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Color wheel bad. Makes rumbling sound. Bad bearings. Has to spin about 10,000 RPMs and sync to DLP chip. Here: https://www.encompassparts.com/webwiz/wwiz.asp?wwizmstr=WEB.SEE&partnumber=5933777&smodel=HLR5067WX/XAA

Video flickering

Horizontal lines are either caused by the main logic board, a dammaged screen or by the main x and y drivers. Hard to determine which one it is, but somthing is getting hot which is causing the problem. My guess is the main logic board.

Flickering Picture?

Your set might have a high voltage leak and that is the noise you hear when is showing the screen problem or even maybe an arking too ,either one is related to the high voltage and it can be dangerous,if you are familiar with tv service you can try to see where is arking and replace the part with an exact replacement but if the set has a leak you will not see it and is not safe to be close to it,if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.
