first, is this a off the shelve player? second most kia's come with the option of a cd player, my 2001 had one in it.
but if yours did not you can get one that will fit, you need to remove the bezal around the radio and remove the 4 screws that hold the older one on place.
if this is a off the shelve player, where you bought it shoule have all the mounting hardware to install it
heck with dealer first as some of these nissans cannot be re-progrrammed without the original Cd or reset the service light via am/fm button ,i am not sure exactly but iam sure fitting a after market in place of the original immobilises the vehicle and they have to be fitted under the dash with the original left in place
Just for a possibility. Sometimes CD players come with a little plug that keeps everything in place during shipping. If you fail to remove the plug, your CD players reader arm cannot move, thus an error. Also, if you use screws on the sides of the radio for mounting brackets and the screws are too long, it may bind the motor. Some CD players come with a reset button, if so, push it. This might clear the error. Hope this helps.
The harness looks like what is depicted on this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC--16-PIN-WIRE-HARNESS-FOR-CD-PLAYER-BLACK-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ370214069143QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090612?IMSfp=TL090612198008r8862 This
connector fits the following JVC Car Radio/CD/MP3 Players with
16 pin connection.
All wires are labeled. Hope this helps....................sodeep
the laser in your DR-6000 is exactly the same as what's in the philips cdr-775 and cd-r-770. a brand new laser for these are very hard to get hold of and are very expensive. personally i would look out for the above philips models on ebay for less money then take the whole mechanism out and unscrew the servo board and then fit the marantz servo board in place of it and fit it back into your recorder. i have done this on numerous occasions with no problems.
more than likely something got stuck or broken ..
You will need to open it up and see if there is anything you can notice that may be causing the problem. more than likely the loder. if you think you can move it back into place or frmove the jammed components then by all means do. if not take it to an electronic technician.
