Click here to download the latest drivers. You will have to select the correct model number of your particular laptop and follow their instructions. As you can see there are many models, you will select the same one as that shown either on your laptop or on the laptop box. Alternatively you could find it in the manual that was provided with your laptop. Also you might find the display drivers on the disk that was supplied with your laptop. Choose windows 7 drivers, basically you want to install, chipset, display and ethernet drivers. This should bring your display to life.
All the best, thumbs up!

Win 7 Starter is restricted to disable many features.Win7 Stater package is designed to computers who buy for cheap price. Microsoft planned to ship this OS to poor countries. So you better buy upgrade the Win 7 version to install Adobe CS3..

No video on dell inspiron mini

If it happened after the installation of Win 7, then board malfunction if not very likely. Do you get any video on start up. The Bios should be displayed fine as it is not related to Win 7 OS. However if no display during startup would mean somehow your BIOS got corrupted during the installation. Flashing the BIOS might help

SPECIAL EDITION SCRATCHES won't play on my windows 7 laptop. Chris

i think the problem is with compatibility with your OS. first, u need to check that your windows 7 is installed with 32bits or 64bits system. second, check your game compatibility (is it compatible with 32bits, 64bits, or both. if your OS installed with 64bit then your game only compatible with 32bits so the game will not work, and the contrary.

my opinion (probably wrong):
maybe your win 7 is installed with 64bits and your game only support 32bits system, so you need get another 'scratches' game that support 64bits. another solution (worst scenario), try to installing your win 7 with new win 7 with 32bits system.:)

Dell Inspiron 1525 shuts down

You have had Win 7 for TWO YEARS? Hmmmm well anyway thats the problem. You see Win 7 and games don't MIX, the only way may help is to run in compatibility mode for XP SP2, and Run & Install as Administrator.

I am using toshiba l310 laptop with windows xp installed onit.NOW I WANT TO CHANGE MY OPERATING SYSTEM FROM XP TO WINDOWS 7,MY QUESTION IS THAT CAN I USE SAME DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 7 WHICH I USE ON XP ...

You will need new drivers for Win 7. Before attempting to go to Win 7, run the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor and see what issues it lists: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161223 (since laptops have on-board video that may be an issue). You will be doing a custom install from XP and have to reinstall all of your programs and drivers - many will be available. Several XP programs will not install in Win7 without some work (compatability mode or the XP mode virtual machine (in Pro or Ultimate). Upgrading your software may be needed unless you have the latest version that supports XP through Win7 or want to do the work-arounds.

In addition you would be wise to check for any BIOS updates for your specific machine and apply those. Windows 7 is a good OS if you have 2 GB or more of memory. It can run with less but it isn't better than XP in that case. The biggest difference is that Win7 will be supported by Microsoft for updates for a longer period (patches); XP will lose that support in the next few years.

I hope this helps.

(I converted an XP desktop to Win7. However, my video card could handle the OS and I have 2.5 GB of memory and a Windows Experience Index of 3.9 from the system.)
