I have error code e000003-0000. How do I get it working again

This is a Heater temperature error, caused by an abnormal drop, or low temperature detection.
It is most likely a blown heater element.

The main thermistor reading is lower than 140°C when paper is moved.
Main cause can be the fixing film unit is faulty (i.e., the main thermistor (TH1) has poor contact or has an open circuit; or, the fixing heater is faulty). or,
The main power supply PCB is faulty. or,
The DC controller PCB is faulty.

Caution: The following steps should only be carried out by qualified people...

To clear the error, execute the following in service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.

CAUTION
Do not clear the error until the fault is repaired. If you clear the error, and there is still an electrical fault it may result in a fire!

Turn on the power switch, and clear E003. (Service mode) Thereafter, turn off and then on the power switch. Does the fixing heater operate?
No? Try checking...
2. Wiring
Is the wiring from the DC controller PCB to the fixing film unit normal?
NO: Correct the wiring.
3. Fixing film unit, DC controller PCB
Try replacing the fixing film unit. Is the problem corrected?
YES: End.
NO: Replace the DC controller PCB.

Good luck

Pilot lights but main burner dose not light when turned on

possibly a fowled thermocouple if the thermocouple doesn's sense the pilot flame then it will not send a signal to the gas valve telling it that its okay to open cause the pilot is lit.

Yellow caution light

I also have the model 5620. with the yellow caution light on. After taking the unit completely apart I found 2 thermal fuses on the bottom of the unit(appox. size of a nickel). They are located under 'U" shaped brackets which are below the medal heating element. The thermal fuses do not reset. you could test them with a drip or two of souder or wire on the top - if you ran the heater this way it would be a safety problem as the fuse would be overridden. I am throwning mine away.

The Caution Light ?

MILKHOUSE HEATER "CAUTION LIGHT" SOLUTION: Before I explain, let me clear this myth up: this is NOT an issue with the pendulum safety switch (some mistake that for a "mercury" switch). To begin, unplug the heater. Open it up and clean it out. I mean, buy a can of non-chlorinated brake cleaner and squirt all of the contacts good. Below the fan there is a sensor mounted on the heater element box on the bottom. That goes bad and causes it to trip. While you are there, squirt the motor bushings good with the brake cleaner and dab a drop of synthetic motor oil (just a drop) on EACH of the two motor bushings. Personally, I rewired this and bypassed all of the safety features. You can bypass that sensor without soldering or cutting any wires. All you have to do is unscrew the wires from the holder and then unscrew the tiny nuts and tiny bolts. Then bolt the together at one end (note the position) and put it back in the holder and tighten the screw to hold it in. This method fixes the issue completely as it removes the sensor from the equation. In fact, I just did that on my third milkhouse heater and it has been running solid for the last 15 minutes. Use your modified heater with caution! Let the brake cleaner dry before you energize this device!

CAUTION LIGHT only -- no Fan or Heat

According to the manual, the "Caution Light" means that the unit has overheated. They suggest running on a lesser setting, but you also may want to see if you can return the unit (if it is still under warranty).

Heater Caution Light On

Now you can purchase this type of screwdriver head in most hardware shops, especially as part of a large set of bits (look in the box and you will see them) - otherwise find an old screwdriver about the right size and cut a small groove in the middle with a file or a hacksaw, or a bench grinder if you have access to one. Hey presto. (ps I am not sure of the correct international term for these screwdrivers, but here they are known as split slots. ) sometimes this sort of screw head is sloped so that it can only be done up, not undone, although with a little downward force you can undo fairly easy screws - just check first to see if it is worth sacrificing a screwdriver. Hope this helps :) ps try http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/ServiceNet/new.asp for a free electronic copy of your Black & Decker User Manual. You will need to create a service net login. Please select "I'm a tool user." and follow the instructions. Once logged in, you will need to select "technical publications" from the left hand navigation. When it loads, use the quick document finder and enter your product model number. Hope you fix it - please ask again if you need more help
