Left-click on the blue ->
ADI SoundMax Audio Driver for Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP
To the right of File name: sp24465.exe (14MB), click on -> Download
A small window will come up on the right -
Opening sp24465.exe
Left-click on -> Save File
A small window will come up on the left.
In the wording at the top of this window, tells you where the file will download to.
It may have Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads, in the wording.
Desktop: The file (sp24465.exe) will be on your desktop screen.
My Documents: Left-click on Start, then on My Documents
Downloads: Left-click on Start, then on My Documents.
DOUBLE-click on Downloads.
When you see the file name (sp24465.exe) DOUBLE-click on it.
The Installation Wizard will appear.
At the bottom of the next three small windows, left-click on -
Next, Next, and Finish.
If you are asked to restart your computer, do so.
If not close all windows, go back to your desktop screen.
Restart your computer.
(Start > Turn Off Computer > Restart )
Still no sound? Let Windows run for a few minutes. Say 10 minutes.
Then turn the computer OFF.
WAIT 1 minute, turn the computer back on.
Still no sound? The OnBoard audio on your motherboard is bad.
(Integrated audio)
The audio chipset is no good.
Suggestion then is to install a PCI soundcard.
