Go to Run(In start menu) and type msconfig and press enter. A new window will open up. Go to Statup...There will be a big list of files. look for the one have casc.exe name... and then just uncheck it. Click OK, it will ask for restart. then restart your PC. When the computer will start again it will show you a message. Just check "Don't show me this again" and click OK.

Need new driver file for pavilion a706n att conntect tech could not repair it

On this page I advise clicking on the + sign to the left of -
Driver - Original (9)

Now scroll down, and click on,

Fall 2004 Original Network Adapter Driver Collection

On this page go down to the sub-heading - Details and specifications, and click on -

When the small window comes up, click on Save File.

Another small window will come up. DO NOT close the window yet.
Look in the heading at the top of the small window.
This tells you where the file will go.
Write it down.

The heading may have Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads IN the heading.

If it states Desktop the file will go to your desktop screen.
Close all windows, go back to your desktop screen.

If it states My Documents click on Start, then My Documents.

If it states Downloads, click on Start, My Documents, and Double-click on Downloads.

When you see the file name double-click on it.
Follow the Installation Wizard instructions.
(Essentially just click on Next, Next, and Finish, at the bottom of the windows)

After the file has installed shut your computer down normally.
(Start > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off)

Wait 20 seconds, turn your computer back on.

Casc.exe give me an error message and closes immediately.

You're probably running the 2008 or 2009 version of their software.
Get the _free_ upgrade to the 2011 (or 2010) version of their software, and install it,
to make the C(omputer) A(ssociates) S(ystem) C(entre)
work properly.

My dvd/cd rom would not open/eject the disk

Do you see a tiny little hole in the front of the dvd/cd tray?
Straighten out a paper clip and insert into this hole, a gentle pressure will turn a gear that opens the tray.

Funnest ust virus

theres a couple of things you can try....1st restart pc to "safe mode" and try to physically remove the virus from the file its located, then if fails try use "prevx 2.0 (its a free download trial version) and see if it will remove it, if that fails try; its a free virus remover from McAfee, if that fails then do a system restore to a point before the virus was found, if that fails format hard drive and reinstall windows.
