Hello, Welcome to FixYa.

There are a couple of scenarios which may prevent the dryer from starting with Bosch. I'm not sure which reset you activated, there are two which could be reset, plus a no reset hi-limit ( on the lint housing )...
i.e. reset switch by motor as it wasnt heating...put - macmarkus_15.jpg ...which cannot be reset, but the hi-limit is the one related to heating...located on the heater housing and the emergency shut off is by the motor.
Anyway,

To save time and back and forth dialog, I`ll mention the most likely and what to do about it.

**Unplug the dryer before attempting any repair tips suggested here please...safety first**

There is an auto shut off or emergency kill switch next to the motor I alluded to which will prevent it to start in the event it was tripped for whatever reason.
This is the most likely scenario in my opinion as it often happens to even trained techs when the unit is re-assembled. This will require you to remove the back panel again though. Once you've remove the rear panel, It will look like this image below and all you need to do is push it to the right ( from the back )...

i.e.

Since you`ve already taken the back of the dryer off before to gain access you should have no problem.

Either Scenario I alluded to will require the removal of that panel so let me know if you require further assistance to do this.

The other would be resetting the hi-limit cut out, I suspect this is the one you reset ?...correct me if I'm wrong. You can see through the back vent opening when the vent is removed and then by pushing the red button in...shown below.reset switch by motor as it wasnt heating...put - 923283f.jpgbr />i.e.

Keep me posted how you make out or if anything is not clear.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

My dryer doesnt go on. The front panel still clicks and when i push start button it buzzes but doesnt go

Belt, fuse, door switch, timer switch, something caught on the drum (all sorts of things get caught back there), heat sensor (depending on the age, had one that had a heat sensor would turn the dryer off, if told the computer dryer was overheating even though had not been running), bad motor, bad motherboard for dryer (again depending on age of dryer)

Control Panel turns off

HI,
The PCB unit ie the control panel circuit board has gone bad. The probable cause of the same is moisture on the board.

Thanks

Maytag dryer [electric] MED9600 lights up but won't start

Possible causes for your issue include:

Blown fuse
Timer or motor inoperative
Housing wiring not properly connected to dryer
Bad door switch
Faulty "Push to Start" switch

It would probably be best to have a professional pinpoint the exact defect.

Wont run

if you have power it may be the door switch, or the motor reset button may have tripped either way the front panel will have to come off. unscrew the screws inside the dryer door, pop up the top lid with a crew driver in the top corners, disconnect the door switch and the panel is off look at the motor and see if it has to buttons on resets the other trips, if it does then push the reset it will click. to bypass the door switch tape the connectors together. Hope this helped tim

The dryer wont start when i press the start button

maybe the dry door switch or the reset button on the motor. if you here like a click noise when you push the start button then its the reset. if not then more then likely it is the switch, which means either way the front panel has to come off, screws are located inside dryer door, the top corners are clipped from the inside so a flat tip screw driver will pop the corners, then disconnect switch, if it is the switch remove switch and tape wire together, put front panel on with top clips, plug in and push start drum should turn. get new switch.the reset buttons are on the motor and when you push the reset it will click. Hope this helped Tim

Dryer doesn't turn on. Replaced the power switch

Power switch? Do you mean push to start switch? To see if you have a bad push to start 1st unplug. Open back top panel. Only do this test if you hae two wires going to the push to start switch. Wear gloves so you dont kill yourself. seriously. If you do have two wire then disconnect from push to start. Make sure they are not touching anything!!! Plug machine in. Tunr timer to 60 minutes. Touch wire together then pull apart. If machine kick on replace push to start. If not put everything back the way it was. Jump out door switch. If door switch is jump and still dont work then check motor test. Check harness on motor. If has a capacitor need to check with a cap. tester. You need a service manual to test wheather you have a bad motor. The manual will show you how to properly test a motor (each lead has ohms valve and you have to know what they are to test)

When i push the start button it makes the noise it usually does but the dryer doesnt start. If you hold the start button it sounds like its putting electricity to the motor wont turn. Could it be as...

Hello, that sounds like a bad motor, you can know very quickly by unpluging the dryer, get to the back panel behind the switch. take one wire off the switch, grab your continuity checker, have someone push the switch, if it is good then its the motor. another way you can check is take the two wires for the switch and just touch them together if the dryer starts then it is the switch. Dryer won't Start

the problem might be the start switch itself. if the switch is going bad it could have either a carbon buildup on the contacs preventing it from starting (unlikely) or the contacs are wearing out and it is more hit or miss if it will start. as time goes on the problem will get wose
