I have the gator with the electric dump bed and the cylinder has stopped working. It runs but does not raise the bed. Is there a replacement cylinder? Where can I find the part if it is available.

SOURCE: How does the dump bed on the gator work?

There should be a green piston with a red handle behind the seat. Some of the models come with a automatic piston assembly. Mine did not come with one, but I found it at this website http://www.shopjandl.com/ikcg0001.html
Hope this helps.

My grandson's Gator runs ok in 2nd gear, but doesn't do anything in 1st or reverse.

one of your motors must be bad or unhooked, you'll have to remove the dump bed to get at the motors, then verify that they are both connected, or it could possibly be the shifter switch

I am trying to attach the dump bed onto the body, the hinge pins don't fit into the slots... and i don't understand what the red strap is for or how it fits to the vehicle

Just make sure the holes a aligned as best possible then push them, the red "strap" is actually the bed dump relaease handle it attaches to the cylander behind and between the seats and directly in front of the dump bed. it will have a spring and a red hinge pin.
