Hi Tim; I have the 4700 receiver, the remote for it is a vhu,the # on the back I believe is 1.5 fcc dknamtx. I can't get the button at the top to switch yo satelight it just stays on tv. So I bought a new remote, the # onthe back is 8.0 fcc ID dknfsk01 I believe. But I can't get it to work. We moved some time back and lost or misplaced our information for it. Is there a code perhaps that has to be used to work this remote with this receiver.the new receiver is uhf and is a dish network remote. The # 123214 is also on the new remote. I have been dialing 1-800-759-3474 between 3:00 pm and midnight and all I get is a busy signal. That is probably their busyest time.

Ok I can help you out here but need more information, your question is very confusing.

So you have Bell Dish but what receiver do you have attached to the Dish?

What number / who are you trying to call that you've tried for 3 days and can't get through?

All that is on your screen is 123214 and nothing else?

Please let me know, just reply to my answer here and I can help you.

You may want to try 1-888-769-3474 I am seeing that as a number for them as well but it may be a typo since it's so similar to the one you are trying.

Your best bet is to keep trying them, since that receiver is their equipment it is under their equipment warranty still. That includes the remote so they should send you a new remote programmed for your receiver for free.

That is definitely what you want to do here, getting that other remote to work with your 4700 receiver does not look like it is possible.

Their support is open 24/7, keep trying you will definitely get through.

If you are in Ontario or Quebec I see this number as well:

Ontario and Quebec customers only: 310-2355

Also I have this number for them:

How to program remote to dish? 4.4 IR/UHF PRO

Your question is not clear as to whether you want to program the remote to your TV or the DISH receiver. Here are steps for both if this has not been resolved already!

1. Go to the room where the receiver is located. With the remote for THAT room press menu twice. (This will be the remote with the Green 1 on the bottom.)
2. Press and release the SAT button on the top left of the remote
3. Press and release the black and red record button 3 times
4. Look that the number next to remote address (secondary Remote address) has changed.
5. If not, start again.

1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

Hey edwards879,

It sounds like the remote needs to be addressed to the receiver.

I have provided the steps below to assist you with that, you can also check out this link:

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if works.

If you reprogram it and it still doesn't work the remote may need to be replaced. If that's the case or if you have any other questions let me know!

Hi,my brand new UHF remote wont operate the #2 tv??

Go to the tv 1 location with your TV2 remote. Turn TV1 on and using TV1's remote press menu-menu. You will be at the System Info Screen. Take TV2 REMOTE and press and hold the SAT button on the top left until all buttons on the top light up. Release the SAT button. Now key in a two digit number from 1to 16 and press the # key. The SAT button will flash three times. Now press the record button until the remote address for TV2 changes to the number you chose. When accomplished exit out of the screen with th TV1 remote and you should now be able to control TV 2. As a precaution ensure the remote antenna is on the back of the receiver. If you still have difficulty it may be required to move the remote antenna closer to TV2. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for using Fix Ya and let me know if I can of further assistance.
