Have usually been able to turn off maker immediately when it stops. However, this time I was unaware it had stopped and was not able to immediately turn off. Now it does not turn on. I suspect motor burn out. What to do? Buy new motor? Have to buy new maker?

2-3 minutes after I pour the solution into the canister, a thin film develops on the bottom of the canister. This causes friction with the stir paddle and the canister stops rotating. Pretty any time ice buildup occurs, instead of the stir paddle breaking up the build up, the canister just stops rotating.
