Hi I have a 3 /4 month old Hisense Model HR6TFF460(S) Fridge Freezer. About a week ago it started making a strange clicking sound. I have tried changing the settings and also defrosting over night and still it makes this noise. I have logged a warranty call. Please can you advise what you think the noise might be? I dont want to be charged if they can find nothing wrong. I seems to click when trying to cool down, almost a rattle type click Its been fine and no noise up until about a week ago. We have done nothing new with the fridge. Thank you!

SOURCE: i have a whirlpool fridge freezer (model 20rud4).

it is possible that your fridge has developed a snag in its cooling system. what could be done from your end will be to first of all switch off the fridge for at least 8 hours. allow it to totally defrost. then switch on to see if the cooling returns. if so reduce the thermostat to 7 degrees and check. if the cooling returns then you will need to check for frosting inside due to failure of the thermostat or the auto defroster. if there is still no cooling then your gas has leaked, failureof the compressor, failue of the valves in the compressor could be suspected. Probe with these inputs. Good day

Freezer intermittently not working and everything thawing, coils underneath have been blown out by air compressor about 3 to 4 months ago, so not clogged with dust.

I have a Whirlpool Gold top-mount fridge (GR2SH/GR2SHM). It's about 6 years old. About a year ago the freezer started to have ice build up and water would over flow into the fridge. I defrost the...

The defrost cycle is not working. After a predetermined number of hours of compressor running time, a timer actuates the defrost cycle, which stops the compressor and turns on a heating element to melt the ice. Either the timer or heating element is not working. Also, make sure the melted ice water is actually draining and not re-freezing.

If you turn the dial clockwise this will make it colder anticlock less cooler...Start by switching off for a few Hours leave door open to allow defrost...Turn the stat fully anticlockwise to almost off then put it to say 2 o clock position assumming that it will go from 12 to 10,this should allow food to remain cold without freezing.you are looking for about 3/8 Degrees c.....Buy a cheap thermometer this will help to keep you on the right track..Good luck

It sounds to me you have short in the keypad controller system, from your description this is a very dangerous fire hazard situation, and the microwave in my view should replaced.

I have a Teka A-FCI340 fridge/freezer. The fridge is too cold and freezes items put into it. No matter how I turn the temperature control dial it still seems to be too cold.

I had the exact same problem with the same model and mine was just 3 years old. My problems started when I defrosted the freezer. I spent 75gbp on an engineer who told me that I had probably 'spooked' the fridge when I defrosted the freezer, that this particular model of fridge wasn't designed to last longer than 2 years.

I would recommend you check the door is shutting properly (check the screws at the top, it might be just slightly out of alignment).... I turned the whole unit off for over 2 days to allow absolutely everything to defrost (both inside and on the back of it)... within 30 minutes of turning it on, the back of my fridge was already frosted over.

Engineer told me not to waste money calling them out again, and to buy another one...

Inside the freezer, at the back is another fan that circulates cold air from the freeze through out the fridge. Make sure it's running. Sometimes the blade will slip on the shaft and get jammed, or the motor could be defective.

open door to the freezer and look in the back of the freezer and see if there is ice or frost building up,if so you have a defrost problem.it could be a bad timer or bad defrost heater or bad thermal switch.you nead a continueaty meater to check them out or call for a service call.
