It may not be detected because you may have another device using the default drive letter that the portable drive want sto use. Try going into your computers manage console and see if it is there. If you need help with that let me know what type of operating system you have (XP, Vista, 7.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My simpletech hard drive hitachi 750gb doesn't work and make noises

Clicking Hard drive When a hard disk makes a clicking sound and the computer does not detect it then the hard disk is faulty. This is commonly known as "The click of death".
There is no way of fixing this hard drive, if you need to recover your data, then there are companies that can recover data off faulty hard drives BUT it will cost you an arm and a leg for their services.

My computer cant see my go flex, i have been using it regularly and now its no longer visible as a separate drive and i cant access my material

Try resetting the cables or use different cables.

Get another Go Flex same model an swap the drives.

If the drive is detected you could try a free app called Recuva.

If you want someone to help you remotely try an online data recovery service like http://FreeDataRecovery.us
