are you going through a cable box ? if so, then just connect the video
out cable from the surround system to the video in on the side of the
LG. Then connect the left & right audio in cables into the cable
box coming out of the sound system, this will work, I just set mine up
this way, any other issues let me know.If you are not using a cable box
then simple connect out of the sound system the left & right audio
out cables AND the video cable into the side of the LG ( the left side
is where these in puts are).

Rca model rtd3266 won't produce aux audio through the tv even though we have hooked up the red and white cables. It only playes the surround sound when you watch the dvd.

I believe you have misunderstood something. The audio output from your TV is stereo. Your RCA system produces surround output from your TVs stereo input.

Have lenoxx ht 500 surround sound speakers & dvd but dvd is broken, need to purchase another dvd player but can't source lenoxx model, what other models can i connect surround sound to? or whe

If your surround sound receiver unit has rca audio inputs(red/white), you can hook up any brand of DVD player that has rca outputs. You would hook the yellow output from DVD player to yellow input on TV. Hook red/white output from DVD player to red/white input on surround receiver. Hope this helps.

I would like to know if my ht 3913 will work thru the TV sound, I have no problem with it working when I'm using the DVD player to watch movies, but I would like to hear the TV thru surround sound

Directly , no, since the tv sound is always just on 2 channels. But you can convert it in the receiver to surround by activating either the SRS Surround or the DolbyProLogicII options on your receiver.

Audio via hdmi

Have you tried to hook up your DVD player directly to the surround sound system? If you direct the sound through the TV, it has to pass several circuits and the quality will be lover. Just connect it right away to your sound system. :-)
