I found the sad solution. The part must be replaced and is likely to fail again at some point. The only other options are to not fix it and use a switched power bar or alike to turn off the power when not required for use, or replace the range with something without the Magic Chef defect.

There was a class action suit about this problem which was long since settled. The manufacturer had to pay. They have never acknowledged the defect in the part or upgraded the part in any way to alleviate the problem.

Constant beep no display

Try drying the board with a hair dryer but not so hot to destroy the electronics. Place an ample amount of distance between the board and the electronics. Set aside for an hour, then try the machine.

Non-stop beep sound and won't display

A constant beep, usually indicates the post is detecting no memory installed. This is usually caused by the memory not being installed correctly or incompatible memory. double check you have the correct memory for this mother board. If you have 2 chips, install one and test. If this does not work swap the memory and try again. If both chips fail, you might try a different brand of memory.

Hold down the Display/Menu function button (one of those three buttons on the left of the unit) for about 3-4 seconds until the display reads "t set". When this appears, push the track forward button once (>>|) so the display reads "beep"; now press the play pause button (>||) once. The display will now say "on", push the track forward button (>>|) once to make it read "off"; now push the stop play button. You're done. Enjoy the silence.

F1 and constant beeping

Tul2pi, there are several things that could cause this. 1. shorted keypad. If you unplug the keypad ribbon from the board and the beeping stops it's more than likley your problem. 2. Temperature probe in the oven may have gone bad. You would have to ohm this out. At 75 degrees it should read approx. 1091 ohms. 3. Worst of all it would be a control problem itself where as you would have to replace the control board. Since you are so close to the warranty period, I would call Frigidaire at 1800-944-9044 and see if they would cover it...Catriver..post back.
