Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
I had this same problem. I hired a repairman, which I highly recommend you do too. He found that the tub's base was corroded. The agitator wouldn't properly spin, and that had something to do with it ability to drain properly. My clothes were coming out sopping wet. He replaced the tub (at a cost of about $450), and then washer was as good as new. He said that washers and dryers that are made now aren't made nearly as well as these oldies. He said it should be in good working order now for the next 30 years.
