When I put in Call of duty Black ops in my Xbox 360 it keeps telling me to open and close tray reapeatidly

The XBox 360 is a wonderful video game console, however, with heavy usage, the laser (and/or other components in the drive) will eventually burn out. The first signs of the laser starting to burn out is that your game will start freezing during game play. Eventually the games will stop reading altogether and you will get an "OPEN TRAY" message when you put a disc in and close the tray. What this means is that the XBox 360 thinks that there is no disc in the system.

You can find more information, along with any parts or repair services you need to fix the issue yourself (or have them fix it) at the following page:

My xbox 360 keeps telling me to open tray evewrytime it trys to read my game .

The laser is dirty, or just getting weaker. The Open Tray message is a result of it timing out. I would recommend a new drive.

Xbox 360 reads open tray and doesn't show game

Just keep closing and opening the tray, sooner or later it should read the disk.

When i put in a brand new game disk,it starts to read, but it but it doesn't read the new disk.it just says"open tray"

put in a game and as soon as it starts to say "reading" give the old box a few taps on top where the dvd drive is at. Keep tapping until it reads your game. May not work the first time so keep trying. This usually happens due to poor or loose laser mounts. If this doesnt work your gonna need to open it up. You can look at You Tube for that. Good Luck.
