If you do not see any paper jammed and the machine still tells you there is a jam you should try unplugging the power cable for about 5 minutes. This will let the machine try and clear out any error messages stuck in memory.

If this does not work and you are 100% certain that there is no paper or piece of paper stuck anywhere in the printer then the sensor is broken and you will need to buy a new one.

When the start button is pushed the dryer buzzez, but it does not turn on

sounds like the motor, open the door, move the drum,if you can't move it you could have something in the blower wheel and jamming the motor or the belt could have broke and jamming the motor or just a bad motor,if it moves try this to see if it starts, open the door, hold in the door switch and spin the drum and have someone push in the start button,if it starts there's a flat spot on the motor, this could happen right away again or it might not happen again until it stops on the same spot but it's the motor

My epson workforce 600 jams every time now. We can't use it any more. Is there a way to take it apart and clean it out. I can't see anything that would be causing the problem. Please help :(

Check the foam excess ink pad in the bottom of the printer. Mine was poking up in spots and that was jamming the paper as it tried to go through the printer. I carefully pressed it back down into the bottom, especially around all the little plastic bumps, then I cut off a very small piece that was torn and pressed that section down. Now my paper goes through just fine.

How i can solve error 800-0001 canon image runner 5870...pls. help me...the paper is jamming in the fixing unit....and then the error shown

first off my guess would be that you removed the paper jam then pushed the main unit back in and closed the door without locking the green handle back into position. also if the fixing unit keeps jamming you will need to check it for flat spots by feeling how it turns with the fixing knob. if there are a lot of flat spots i would suggest getting it rebuilt before it gets worse.

My AL-800 l has a paper jam indicator light that stays on. I find no paper jam. Can you help!

open all the doors and look for anything including paper dust. It doesn't take a sheet of paper to cause this just a sliver or a spot of dust You can use a clean paint brush to brush anything or a vacuum hose or even a can of compressed air. If that doesn't fix it then you may have a sensor problem which usually means it is time to get a new printer as the sensor will cost as much as a new one (unless covered by warrenty)

HP 2015 printer has a constant paper jam light

Your printer has a long history of problems with its formatters. Apparently you may be able to download updates, but they don't always work. You may have to replace it. More information here:

Paper Jam at exit

This happened with an old HP Laserjet 1100A of mine.
I had apparently dropped a screw in the paper-out slot and it was jamming the paper on just one spot.

As you know, the entire sheet is connected, so It is most likely a similar situation in which a previous jam has left a small wad of paper under one of the rollers, and this is preventing the paper from exiting the slot.
Best bet, print something and see where the paper is scrunching up. This is most likely the roller that has the paper stuck under it. Remove the toner block and blast some compressed air into the spot the jam is most likely originating and see if anything else flys out.
Also, if that does not work, you might try manually rotating the rollers backwards, which will often eject the lodged paper chunk.
Note- Please be careful inside the printer! Do not touch the bright green drum, or anything that dosen't look like it is rubber and rolls paper around!
It is very easy to mess things up in there ;)

My Canon ir c2100 has a paper jam issue.

Have you tried to run copies from both paper trays? Will it jam in the same spot with both trays? If one works, but the other jams, it may be as simple as making sure the paper tray is set to the correct paper size? Is it set up in the paper tray as LTR, but the tray is saying LTR-R on the display. If so just change the paper size knob to the correct size. Also, if it stops in the same spot with all of the trays, look for something blocking it. Also, try to cheat the side door and make sure everthing is turning correctly.. Good Luck...

Dell 1700n Laser Printer paper jams

Some questions first: -Where in the paper path is it jamming? -Is it always in the same spot or does it vary? -Roughly how many pages have you printed with this printer? -Did anything lead up to this or has it progressively gotten worse?
